All three were outright losses, though the Spartans finally stopped wobbling against Iowa. They will relish their first home gig in a month against a visitor in their shoes. Nebraska has been idle since Jan. 10 after nine players and three coaches, including head man Fred Hoiberg, tested positive. Like M-State, the Huskers will require time to recover. Oh, they are 0-3 away straight-up.

I think the Flames had this game circled ever since the schedule was released. On Feb. 1, 2020, the Oilers embarrassed the Flames 8-3 in Calgary. Edmonton has scored 16 goals in its past three games and now must play a road game. That's tough, especially since Edmonton has struggled when playing with three or more days of rest. The Flames are +6 in shot differential, while Edmonton checks in at -18 so far this season. Calgary has the better defense, penalty-kill and goalie. The Flames are 7-3 in the past 10 meetings. Make it 8-3 after tonight. I like the home team in this spot!
