We like the Under here has a 16-7 Philly side host Brooklyn on Saturday night. The 76ers come off a tough loss to Portland on Thursday, losing 121-105 at home. This was the first time they had given up over 120 points in a game since their overtime win against Miami on January 12 where they gave up 134 points. They only have three games this season where they have given up over 120 as well with a season average of just over 110 ppg. While Philly is high up the Eastern Conference list on points against, they are middle of the pack in offensive scoring, scoring 113 ppg. One of the three games this season they have given up over 120 was at Brooklyn in a 122-109 loss. So looking at the previous meeting, we like for the 76ers to play a tighter defense and really press this Nets side. For Brooklyn, they come off a loss as well, losing at home to Toronto 123-117 on Friday, unlike Philly, this Brooklyn defense just does not slow teams down, but they try to out run and score them. Brooklyn is giving up 118 on average this season while scoring 122. However, that scoring average in on the downward swing after back to back games scoring over 145 points. We just do not see these two coming out and running up and down the court out shooting each other. This will be a defensive showing of sides that want to bounce back.

Philly is one of the best home teams in the NBA (10-2) and even though they laid a huge egg against Portland on Thursday night they should be ready to roll in this one. Ben Simmons sat out the game against the Blazers but he should be back this evening for this primetime heavyweight battle so getting him back makes all the difference for the Sixers. Joel Embiid has looked like an MVP candidate and there is no one on the Brooklyn roster than can come close to matching up with him, so look for Doc to have Simmons, Harris and company feed the big man until he is full. KD may not play, Harden has sat a few games already, and Kyrie may be on his way to Jupiter for all we know. Take the Sixers to defend their home floor in what could be a East Finals preview.

2-Unit Play. Take #533 Memphis (+1.5) over New Orleans (9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6)

The Pelicans have won back-to-back games but I don't see this team handling success very well. New Orleans hasn't won three games in a row all year and I think that they are ripe for an upset here. Memphis has had a couple of days to rest and regroup after losing to Houston their last time out. New Orleans had to play in Indiana last night and this is going to be their third game in four nights, with travel involved. Memphis had won seven straight before their two-game skid and I think that they are primed for a bounce back. They've lost three straight to the Pelicans and I think they would love some payback.

Chicago lost to the Magic yesterday. I don't think they are going to get swept in this series, though. Chicago is high-scoring and very erratic. Sometime they are on; sometimes they are off. After losing yesterday I think they will be back on today.

An empty Cameron Indoor Stadium is going to feel/see weird but I still see an up-tempo game tonight between these two struggling teams. North Carolina will score more then 50 points (last game against Clemson 63-50) and I see the Tar Heels keeping this game close. Duke is averaging 79ppg at home against conference opponents and I see this game going 'Over' the total.

Tonight on ESPN at the Galen Center we will see a great PAC-12 Conference battle and the reason why we love the Trojans because they will control the boards. USC is coming off 3-Straight conference wins with two of them being on the road and their last home game they beat Oregon St 75-62. In that game against the Beavers the Trojans had 45 rebounds and again controlling the boards tonight will be huge. Should be a tight game from the tip in the second half I see USC getting the big stops and I see the Trojans getting the win and late cover. UCLA is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games and the USC Trojans are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Saturday games.
