    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

    Parx Racing - Race #5
#3 Stay Hydrated Think he'll be a good fit with this kind after a string of runs with allowance company, and he has enough early speed to find a good tracking trip. I'd want something a bit better than the 5/2 ML price, though.
#2 Paint Music for Me Reliable type broke through in a big way last out when rolling by eight lengths against maiden claimers at Aqueduct. He's not meeting a particularly deep bunch in this first start with winners.
#4 Liar Side Chat He'll get in the mix in the early going, but the worry is that he always gives away ground late and figures to do so again today. Underneath.
Race Summary Stay Hydrated might be the right one to get the better of Paint Music for Me, and the price may be right with some hit or miss running lines against allowance company.
    Parx Racing - Race #8
#1 Jammin Jimtown He has some room to improve on the move back in with claiming company, and he has some versatility from close range. The rail draw is a bit of a concern with his style, but he's a logical alternative to the chalk.
#7 Salsa's Return This 11yo is looking for his fourth win in a row as he steps up a bit for this one, and he should be able to get a good spying trip from the outside. Short price is worth trying to beat.
#3 Dubrovsky He was no match for Salsa's Return going 12f last time out, but a mile and a half is a huge ask off the layoff, and he can be better this time around on the cutback for the new barn.
Race Summary Jammin Jimtown was really good two starts back when racing at this trip, and he caught a better group last time around in that starter spot. He can adapt to whatever unfolds in the early going from this draw.
    Parx Racing - Race #9
#9 Midnight Act He has finished second in six straight starts, but he should get the right kind of trip behind a few speedier players in the early going. Think the race shape gives him a real chance to get over the top today.
#8 Iywaan Finisher won four in a row before coming up short at 2/5 last out, and perhaps the price gets a bit better this time around off the loss. He's another with the right kind of style for this spot today.
#5 Sheer Flattery He comes off a fast and easy score with similar last time out, but he may have some company in here if he wants the front end again.
Race Summary Midnight Act has been a reliable underneath type, and he gets the right kind of setup to spy the early speed and outfinish vulnerable players late. That 5/1 ML offering would feel fair.

      #3
      Jerry Shottenkirk's Daily Picks

Will Rogers Downs - Race #5
#4 True Saint Trainer Williams has had a decent season with 10 wins and this one comes in from Houston, where he tired going long on turf in his latest. Gets a good pace to chase and should appreciate the turn back in distance.
#3 Sigur Ros Was third here last time and can be out front or close to it from the beginning; was a Broberg claim two races back, and until February he was competitive in the Bay area.
#1 Caney's Ghost Was outrun by much better in his first of the year, takes a class drop and can improve in his second one back; Triana has had ridden with 20-percent success and can get a response when asks for run in the stretch.
Race Summary True Saint was competitive vs. Texas-breds in sprints at Houston and drops to his lowest level in a while; can make a run late in the game.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #6
#5 Lady Abigail Usually does well when she gets the lead and she has a good chance at that here; won her first of the year and can get back to winning ways.
#1 Gray Sky Mesa Romped by 13 lengths here two back and followed with a third in an allowance; can be a factor from the start.
#4 Royal Soprano Has been in tougher races and can be an effective stalker here; her best performances make her a factor under these conditions.
Race Summary Lady Abigail is very rapid and should be difficult to catch at this level; has some good efforts over this strip.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #8
#1 Beauregard Has won both starts here for trainer Engel and can successfully make this step up to N3L company; Engel is hitting at 37 percent with seven wins in 19 starts.
#6 Willy Special Cats Also comes from a hot barn, as Kenny Nolen is six of 20 for 30 percent; the one makes her first local start of the season and off a claim as he was a closing second at Houston. fits here.
#7 Royally Was a winner in his last of 2020 at Remington Park and was fourth in both WRD starts this season; can improve.
Race Summary Beauregard has been solid in his last two and can fight off challengers going a mile; big player from the start.

Al Cimaglia: Pompano Park Pick 4 Analysis-$20,000 Guaranteed Pool

        April 26, 2021 | By Al Cimaglia
The Monday night card at Pompano Park includes a Pick 4 with a $20,000 guaranteed pool and it will be my focus. The sequence has a 12% takeout and begins in Race 6.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

        Race 6

6-Rockntouch (7/2)-Drops looking for an overdue win like others in this field. Should relish the class relief and that Hennessey returns to steer. Should be out and winging and chances are this 9-year-old will slot into a close-up seat and be there at the wire.
8-Solo Story (3-1)-This post could pose a problem but has beaten better than this coming off cover. My guess is Wallis will benefit from a few leavers and the pace will be lively. If that's the case this 9-year-old could get a nice stalking trip.

        Race 7

3-Saulsbrook Deputy (4-1)-Boyd returns tonight after his 1st assignment led to a win last week. Steps-up and will likely not blast out but should get a good spot to find cover. The pace could be hot if the three chalks leave from the outside and the Deputy likes to roll late.
4-Prairie Panther (8/5)-Hasn't raced since 4-5 and that could be cause for concern. Should be bet and if dialed on high will be tough to beat from this post.
6-Ideal Feeling (7/2)-Has the gate speed to leave and get a close-up seat but it's not a must. Beat #5 at this class last time. Could take another picture by coming off cover as a short field should help this versatile 6-year-old.

        Race 8

1-Agedchedar Hanover (4-1)-One move type could land in the pocket behind #5 and did pace a 54.1 back half last week. If Ingraham can provide a smooth trip it could be the night for the 2nd win of 2021, coming at a square price.
2-Villiam (3-1)-Steps-up after a dominant victory and does like the Pomp hitting the board in 12 of 15 with 6 wins. Can beat this bunch on the engine or coming off cover.
5-War-N-Munn (7/2)-Did win 2 straight, 1 was at this class, then got stuck with post 7 and took the long way around in last. Wallis will likely light this 8-year-old up to get on the engine and may not look back.

        Race 9

6-Here Comes William (3-1)-Team DuPont had a win last night and this 10-year old has taken only 1 picture over the last 20 races through '20-'21. Makes the 2nd start since 2-17 and was used a couple of times last week. Should be in the hunt with a good steer.
7-Saulsbrook Lanny (4-1)-Drops to a soft spot trying to capture its 2nd win of the meet and has cashed checks versus better. Sanzeri will need to work an efficient trip but best to not overlook.
8-Bass Player (6-1)-Winless at the Pomp but fits with this crew and should offer a solid price. Did show some improvement last week and is worth a swing at the morning line price.

          Date/Time: April 26, 2021 3PM EDT
Play: Kelechi Iheanacho Anytime Goalscorer (+115) *Must Start
Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is a man on a mission right now, ranking as the EPL's 3rd highest scorer over 2021, and is hitting his stride at just the right time as partner Jamie Vardy continues to struggle with inconsistent form.
Iheanacho has 11 goals in his last eight fixtures across all competitions and we like him to get on the scoresheet once again here against a Crystal Palace side ranking 5th worst on total goals allowed this season.
Take Kelechi Iheanacho as anytime goalscorer on Monday in the game against Crystal Palace.

            FREE PLAY: 2% MINNESOTA -115

Minnesota starter Jose Berrios in 2 road starts has allowed just 1 run. In those 11 innings of work he has a strikeout to walk ratio of 17-1. Cleveland start Zach Pleasac has been a train wreck allowing 12 runs in his last 2 starts. We also find that Cleveland is just 6-17 as a Underdog of +100 or more the last 2 seasons.

              13 Montreal at Calgary
We have the Canadiens ranked a bit higher than Calgary, and the standings show that. Montreal has the advantages of 5x5 and on the power play. Calgary has the short handed advantage. The Flames have taken 4 of 6 in this rivalry, including the first two games of this current three game series. Despite this being the fifth straight road game for Montreal, this contest is equally important to both squads. That said, we would have made the Canadiens as a small favorite here, and yet we are getting them in the underdog role.

Play: New York Yankees -1.5 (-115) D Garcia (RHP), M Harvey (RHP) Must Start
Deivi Garcia is the scheduled starter for the Yankees on Monday against Baltimore. The team is moving to a six-man rotation here in the near future and it appears that Garcia is going to be a part of that.
The 21-year-old García made six starts for New York in his debut season in 2020, going 3-2 with a 4.98 ERA but has yet to pitch this year.
The last time Matt Harvey pitched and earned a win COVID-19 wasn't a pandemic and TikTok was an unknown. Harvey notched his first victory in almost two years this past Tuesday in Baltimore 7-5 win over the Marlins. Harvey doesn't win in consecutive starts while Garcia notches his first win in his first pitching assignment. The free winner Monday is a play on the Yankees run-line (-1.5 runs -115).

Play on: Leicester -1 -125 at Mirage

                          League: England Premier League
                          Pick: Leicester -1
Must win game for Leicester, this is a golden opportunity to create a 7 point gap in the Champions League race with five games remaining, especially important considering their last three games are against Manchester United, Chelsea & Tottenham.
Palace have outperformed their XG (Expected goals) this season, they've scored 7 more than expected while the 52 they've conceded is almost exactly what the numbers project.
The last meeting was a draw but Leicester were the far stronger team, the XG for that game was 0.32-1.72, Palace scored one goal from one shot on target.
Palace have two victories in their last 9 games, coming against West Brom (19th) & Brighton (created just 0.18 XG to Brighton's 2.59, two goals from two touches in the box).
Palace are 15th in the table when away from home, they're safe from relegation with little prospects of climbing the table, expect the far more motivated and stronger side to win with margin.
