The Cincinnati Reds have won four of their last six and they've had a day off since a dramatic extra-inning win over the Cubs, but I think they'll come up short in this matchup with the Chicago White Sox.
White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease (1-0, 2.96 ERA) recorded nine Ks through seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball against Detroit in his last start. Cease has a solid 29 strikeouts in 24 1/3 innings of work on the season and he has given up just five earned runs in his last four starts.

I like the value with the Diamondbacks as a +132 road dog against the Marlins on Tuesday. Miami is getting a lot of respect here because they one of their best starters going in Sandy Alcantara, while Arizona turns to Riley Smith and his 4.50 ERA and 1.500 WHIP.
While Alcantara does own an impressive 3.19 ERA and 0.982 WHIP in 6 starts, he hasn't faced many great offenses. Arizona is easily the best offense he will have seen. Not only are the Diamondbacks one of the top scoring offenses at 5.4 runs/game, they come into this game hot, scoring 5.7 runs/game and hitting .285 as a team over their last 7 games.
Miami's offense is at the other end of the spectrum. Marlins rank in the bottom 10 in all of baseball in scoring, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging. In their last 3 games the Marlins have scored 2 or fewer runs. It's why I'm not overly concerned here with Smith's poor numbers. Give me the Diamondbacks +132!

The Philadelphia Phillies entered the 2021 season having NOT made the postseason in the previous NINE years. The Phillies won their first four games of the current season but their 4-3 win last night brought their YTD record to just 14-15. The Brewers have made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons and despite back-to-back losses, sit 17-12 and tied for first in the NL Central with the Cards.
Milwaukee finished just 2 for 12 with runners in scoring position on Monday but still owns a 9-4 road record. Eric Lauer pitched five scoreless innings in his first start of the year against the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers last Thursday and will make just his second start of 2021 in this one. Lauer spent 2018 and 2-19 with the Padres (14-17) but was traded to Milwaukee in November of 2019. He had COVID issues and shoulder trouble in 2020, making just four appearances (two starts) with an 0-2 record, 13.09 ERA and 2.36 WHIP. His 2021 debut was clearly, "better than expected!"
Aaron Nola is Philly's ace and he will make his seventh start on Tuesday. He's 2-1 but the Phils are 4-2 in his six starts, with him posting a solid 3.11 ERA and an excellent 0.96 WHIP. Look closer and the Phillies are 3-0 in his home starts, as Nola owns a 1.37 ERA and BAA of .189. In six career starts vs the Brewers, Nola is 3-0 with a 2.97 ERA (team is 5-1). in search of that second straight win for the Phillies. The Phillies haven't won back-to-back games since their 4-0 start but do so here behind Nola.
