DIAMOND STATE - Believe in this horse. No other viable pace gives this horse a strong chance at the winner's circle. Have to like the way Hamm has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. This equine didn't run well in the slop in his last race around the track at Churchill Downs. You probably want to throw out that effort.

TO KALON - The chalk horse is vulnerable here with the lack of morning drills. Tough to put your dough on this oft beaten public's choice. Not much value. Finished second in his most recent effort with a run-of-the-mill speed figure. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this bunch. SARCASTIC TONE - Not much value on this entrant at the likely odds of 5/1.

KONA COAST - I am keen on that latest effort on May 9th at Sun Ray Park where he ended up first. When this rider and conditioner partner up you have to take a look. Medellin and Crotts have been great together. Crotts moves this one here to Arizona Downs from Sun Ray Park. Looking at the horse's past performance lines, he has shown the ability to win on different tracks. INCREDIBLE LUCK - I think this gelding could run back to his winning race from January 15th, when he won a $4,000 Claiming race, a higher class than today's race.
