ANALYSIS: Since the start of May, Max Scherzer has pitched at least five innings and allowed no more than two runs in any of his starts. Outside a blowup game against the Dodgers, Desclafani hasn’t allowed more than three runs in a start all season. There's always the worry Scherzer will go 8 innings and dominate but the Giants have been able to keep road games close all season as evidenced by the 25-8 run line road record. The Nats relievers got the extra day of rest because of the rainout last night, but the Giants also got a much-needed day off on a long road trip. The run line is probably the smarter play but I think if the Giants can keep it close tonight they will pull out the win. Take the value in the Giants.

ANALYSIS: Garrett Richards has allowed three runs or fewer in seven of his last eight starts and he allowed just two runs in 6.2 IP last time he faced the Blue Jays. Ross Stripling has been very good his past three starts, but he allowed six runs and three home runs in 3.2 IP against the Red Sox this season. The Blue Jays bats were held in check by the White Sox and while I do think this game should be high scoring, I don’t think the Blue Jays can keep up with the Red Sox bats right now. Both teams bullpens have been struggling so I will take the home team in this division matchup.

ANALYSIS: Jose Urquidy is coming off a poor start against the Blue Jays but his two poor starts this season have really only been against the Blue Jays. Matt Shoemaker allowed nine runs and recorded just one out against the Royals in his last start, and now he gets to face the red-hot Astros. The Astros bullpen was awful last night and they ended up losing the game 12-8, but the last four runs were all unearned after a bad error by Kyle Tucker in the outfield. I would still take the Astros bullpen over the Twins bullpen even after last night and I think there is a bit of a public overreaction as well. The Twins are just 9-19 against teams with records over .500 this season, take the Astros.

The Cardinals have been struggling lately having lost six games in a row before they beat the Indians on Wednesday. The starting pitching matchup is about a wash as neither pitcher goes deep into the game, but the Cubs bullpen has been ridiculous lately. I like the Cubs at home today.
