When the real running starts, he'll be in stalking position. Look for this gelding to show better today. Last race at Thistledown finishing fifth in the slop is no indication of his true talent. I just may give this one a good shot. Should improve off last race where he did run outside the top 3, but was within five lengths at the finish.

But this is baseball, the better team's at the end of the season win 60% of their games. This is a spite play, as there is no way the Yankees should be favored by this number. Play the game 100 times and we come away with a nice profit on the Royals.

The Pirates did something they haven't done in large this season winning a series against the Cleveland Indians.

Pale Sox RHP Lucas Gioltio (5-5, 3.86 ERA) is scheduled to oppose LHP Tyler Anderson (3-7, 4.89 ERA) who will start for the Bucs. The White Sox have struggled at the plate across their last seven games. Chicago is slashing .218/.270/.320 with a mere .590 OPS in that time span. Leadoff hitter Tim Anderson had just one hit in 16 at-bats in the sweep by Houston.

The Pirates won a series against the offensively challenged Indians and did so without being efficient at the plate. Pittsburgh had hit a mere .228 with an OBP of just .306 in their last seven games. The Free Pick for Tuesday is a play on the rested and overall more talented White Sox and Giolito in the role of road chalk.
