          # 1 REMEMBER THE MAINE 8/1
          # 4 SEAU 10/1
WHEAT KING looks to be the bet in here. Must be given a shot based on the solid Equibase Speed Fig earned in the last competition. Like the finish positions in the last couple of events. REMEMBER THE MAINE - Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group recently. Has put up strong Equibase Speed Figures in turf route races in the past. SEAU - Has earned reliable speed figures in turf route races in the past.

Race 7 - Maiden Special Weight - 8.0f on the Turf. Purse: $30000 Class Rating: 70

FOR MAIDENS, TWO YEARS OLD. WEIGHT, 118 LBS.

            RECOMMENDED CHOICES
            # 4 YO DAWG 2/1
            # 7 SCREWBALL 5/2
            # 3 RED WAVE 9/2
YO DAWG has a very strong shot to take this race. He ought to be given a chance given the decent speed figures. A solid 74 avg class rating may give this colt a distinct class edge against this field. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Berndt have shown strong results recently. SCREWBALL - The Lasix change (now going off Lasix) may spark a turnaround for this colt. He has been running well lately while recording strong Equibase speed figs. RED WAVE - Has been running in the most competitive company of the group lately. As of late Robertson has provided bettors with a strong winning percentage with horses racing in turf route races.

              FanDuel Horse Racing - Race #4 - Post: 2:27pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $10,000 Class Rating: 82

              Rating:

              #3 STUMP (ML=7/2)
              #5 DEANO (ML=9/2)
              #2 GONZO (ML=3/1)

STUMP - Have to like the early speed on this one. No one else may even be close. This jock and trainer have a high winning percent together. Faced tougher last out at FanDuel Horse Racing. Based on Equibase class ratings, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this animal on my list of contenders. This gelding is in good condition. Ran first on Aug 20th. Just check out his most recent fig, 74. That one fits in this group. DEANO - Santiago is right back for another event today after riding aboard this equine for the initial time on August 20th and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better. I like when a racer has dropped in class at least 5 class ratings pts like this one did last time out and then runs against a similar field right back. Plasters must've found the right class. Look for this one to go all the way to the finish line at some respectable odds in this race. Ran fourth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the end. GONZO - Randazzo brings him right back. I advocate you stick with this hot gelding. The jockey/conditioner tandem of Tavares and Randazzo has a strong ROI together.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 ARCH FLYER (ML=2/1), #1 BEHIND ENEMY LINES (ML=6/1),

ARCH FLYER - You should normally gamble against chalk that haven't raced or show no activity in the morning over the last 3 weeks. When looking at today's Equibase class figure, she will have to notch a better speed figure than last time around the track to compete in this dirt sprint. BEHIND ENEMY LINES - No good fortune for this runner in a sprint affair over the last couple months tells me that this gelding is in a thorny spot

STRAIGHT WAGERS: #3 STUMP is going to be the play if we are getting 7/2 or better

                Timonium - Race #7 - Post: 3:33pm - SO - 6.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $34,500 Class Rating: 85

                Rating:

                #6 DIALING DIXIE (ML=5/2)
                #5 SPEIGHTSTER RED (ML=7/2)

DIALING DIXIE - I look for this horse to sit off the pace and make a big move on the turn, cruising straight on to the wire. This gelding's last speed rating recorded on Aug 28th is at the top in last race speed ratings. This horse wins a lot of dough per race. Tops in this race. SPEIGHTSTER RED - Don't throw this animal out due to his last contest at Pimlico where he ran fourth on a sloppy track. I look for an improvement today. Getting a weight break of 11 lbs from last race at Pimlico on Aug 20th. This could make a difference today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 CHARM CITY BAND (ML=2/1), #1 SOUPER EMPEROR (ML=7/2), #3 STROLLED ON BY (ML=8/1),

CHARM CITY BAND - July 30th is the last time we've seen this gelding around. Have to be a little bit leery. Tough to put your money on the win end of any thoroughbred that finishes second and third as frequently as this participant does. SOUPER EMPEROR - The speed ratings are going downward. I'm not playing this steed off of that trend. This gelding garnered a speed figure in his last race which probably isn't good enough in today's event. STROLLED ON BY - A campaigner that breaks his maiden in a Maiden Claimer is usually recognized as a poor risk next time out. Last out it was a nice victory, but this time the stretch run is going to be a true test of courage.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: #6 DIALING DIXIE is going to be the play if we are getting 3/1 or better
