AI Picks: Indiana Grand Pick 5 | Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021

        November 10, 2021 | By Jeremy Plonk

Thursday’s Indiana Grand program includes a late pick five pool that the track will seed with $50,000 – essentially creating the equivalent of a carryover. To assist your handicapping, key stakes selections provided by the 1/ST BET app measure each contender against the 10 leading factors for each race. The 1/ST BET app looks at 52 handicapping factors and more than 200,000 past races to determine its AI selections.

You can use the automated handicapping factors, or create your own factor filters to incorporate angles you prefer. Full-card selections can be found in the 1/ST BET app. We’ve included the official track morning line odds with each runner.

              #7
              Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

              Charles Town - Race #3
              Picks Notes
#7 Miss Wave Not entirely sure what to make of her after that try against better stakes company last time out, but she is a better fit here in a spot where something like that two-back run might do the trick.
#6 Platinum Frolic She's the clear the one to beat after a couple of really sharp tries over the local footing, but she's sure to get bet a bit in this spot while meeting a little bit of other pace. Vulnerable chalk?
#1 Our Strong Vows She has moving sort of one-paced since stepping up to face winners, but she'll get blinkers on for the first time while trying the dirt tonight. Think she has some appeal underneath at a price.
Race Summary Miss Wave might be the right one to use to try to beat the chalk here, as she's coming out of a spot that was way too tough for her, and the hope is that she can bounce back to something like what this team got out of her off the claim.

              Charles Town - Race #7
              Picks Notes
#5 Uncle Roamie He'll make his local debut while coming down in class out of that Monmouth stakes try, and he can get in the mix early at this abbreviated trip. Think he'll be a decent enough price.
#4 Dr. Rusty Raymond Tactical type might get a great setup with a couple of sharp pace players lined up, and if the top choice isn't able to see this out, it might be this guy calling from a few lengths off the pace.
#1 Dan the Man Can He has shown the tiniest bit of finishing ability in the past, and he's likely to get outrun from the fence, so maybe he hugs the rail and passes the tiring ones for a piece at a nice number.
Race Summary Uncle Roamie is the most appealing of the forward players for me, and he can be tough here if he handles the local footing. The other listed pair would benefit from a tough early battle.

              Charles Town - Race #8
              Picks Notes
#8 Running Roy Think he should find this group a bit more to his liking after four tries against special weight company to open the career, and his classy prompting speed should play very well against this cheaper group that lacks a ton of early pace.
#7 Jamie Jamel He's probably a good fit with the locals, and he has a touch of pace to keep in the race early. He has a right to stick around a bit better in this second start off the long layoff.
#5 Glorious Mahomes Debuter doesn't have high expectations, but he is meeting some pretty suspect customers and might be useful in the gimmicks at first asking. Get a look at him on the track.
Race Summary Running Roy drops in for the win tonight with an attacking trip likely waiting for him from this draw. The price may not be much, but I'd feel pretty good being live to only him here.

#3 TRIPLE DIP Third-quarter duel took its toll, can rebound at a good price.
#1 MARYMACISBACK Steady check-getter is a good fit at this level and moves inside.
#6 QUEEN KENDALL Needs some pace flow, switches pilots often.
Race Summary Triple Dip dueled hard alongside the 3-to-5 favorite around the final turn until both runners tired and Ideal Bubby passed by for the upset. She's worth a price stab in the same company. Bet on her to win and place.

                Dayton Raceway - Race #1
                Picks Notes
#1 OVERLORD Exits fast race, can make good use of his speed in here.
#2 TINT OF MINT Gapped in third on rail, paced evenly until deep stretch, takes class drop.
#3 P DRIVE HANOVER Drops, moves outside in, switches drivers.
Race Summary Overlord chased a fast pace and didn't lose ground in his second recent start at this level. He could be the target from the rail today and was Smith's choice on a double call. Play a 1/2,3/ALL trifecta.

                Woodbine-Mohawk Park - Race #2
                Picks Notes
#6 SAULSBROOK KAISEN Didn't get out in time, can turn tables on several of same rivals with a clean trip.
#5 RADLEY HANOVER Rallied to win his last two starts at this level.
#2 JUSTA BANDIT Sustained rally from post 8 to repeat, meets many of same foes.
Race Summary Saulsbrook Kaisen is better than his last race appears. He stayed inside at a key juncture and was trapped until he surged late between rivals. He was claimed out of a race two back in which he changed tactics and led until the stretch call. Let's make him today's Best Bet.

                  Remington Park - Race #2
                  Picks Notes
#1 Long Gone Okie Closed with a rush for fourth on the turf last out and moves back to the main track; will have plenty of pace in front of her and can get it done late.
#4 Taylor's Vision Was second and third in the two races after Scholl claimed her and ran a good third in her only two-turn attempt; serious player.
#2 Magic Mindy Blasted bottom claimers last out and the effort was good enough to consider as she takes a step up in class.
Race Summary Long Gone Okie gets a favorable pace setup and win if finishes like she did last out.

                  Remington Park - Race #3
                  Picks Notes
#1 Military Bearing Was third when claimed two races back at Churchill Downs and faced much better there in his first off that claim; is down to a more comfortable level and can get back to good form for the McCart stable.
#5 Sky Jumper Was up for fourth in a sprint at Zia last out; was second at this distance at Santa Anita troublesome out front.
#4 Sports Fan Rallied for third on turf last out and is back to the main track; makes his second off the claim for the Young stable.
Race Summary Military Bearing was in over his head in his latest and can turn it around in his first over the Remington strip.

                  Remington Park - Race #5
                  Picks Notes
#2 Flatout Winner Settled for fourth in the mud last out and turns back in distance for this; should have something left late.
#4 Remember Me Tony Won at this distance three races back and has been in the hunt in decent races recently.
#8 Heroic Song Closed very well and won going away last out; takes a step up and can be tough as he steps up in class.
Race Summary Flatout Winner has been with good company and should be able to be a player on the front end.

Churchill Downs Selections for November 11, 2021 – Horse Racing Picks

We have ponies on Thursday at TheSportsGeek. That’s par for the course, as we have free horse racing picks every single day. The only day that I take off from handicapping the horses is on Christmas. Maybe there’s another day or two, but the horse racing grind never stops.

                    Industry Leading 9% Cashback!

Handicapping horses is a major grind, so if you need a week or two off, it’s always a good thing if you need it. That goes if you’re a regular bettor. This is the time if you need it because the Breeders’ Cup just concluded, and we’re in the horse racing “offseason” of sorts.

BetOnline has 11 racecourses available for wagering in North America on Thursday. Aqueduct Racetrack is back for their winter meet. Our first stop is at Churchill Downs in Kentucky. Churchill Downs has nine races for $728,000 in prize money. Head below for our free Churchill Downs picks on November 11, 2021.

Race 2 is a 6-furlong event for a $54,000 purse. I’m looking at Well Spent and Kewpie Doll for the top spot.

Well Spent is 2 for 19 in her career, and has finished 7th, 3rd, 4th in her previous three attempts. In her most recent win, Well Spent won a $21,200 event on March 16 by 3 ¼ lengths.

Since then, Well Spent has finished 3rd, 6th, 7th, 3rd, 4th in her previous five attempts. She most recently finished 4th in a $36,000 assignment on October 24.

Kewpie Doll should be too tough in this one. She is 4 for 16 with results of 1st, 5th, 2nd, 1st in her last four attempts.

Kewpie Doll is coming off a win on November 3 in a $68,000 race. She beat Afleet Diva by 5 ½ lengths after placing 2nd on October 16 at Keeneland. Kewpie Doll looks the best.

                    Distance:1 1/16 Miles
                    Purse:$120,000

Race 6 is a $120,000 event covering 1 1/16 miles on the dirt. This one looks good between Street Missy and Princess Lea.

Street Missy is winless in eight attempts, but has a big chance on Thursday afternoon. She has finished 2nd, 7th, 3rd, 2nd in her previous four attempts.

Street Missy most recently placed 2nd behind Big City Momma by a head for a $84,000 purse on October 16. This was after showing 3rd on September 19 for a $120,000 purse. Back up to $120,000, Street Missy could get it this time.

Princess Lea is another winless runner, but has been the most consistent and knocking hard at the door. She has finished 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd in her previous four outings.

Princess Lea placed 2nd behind Super Quick by 10 ¼ lengths in a $120,000 event. Despite Super Quick pulling away, Princess Lea held strong for 2nd.

She showed 3rd on June 20 in a $100,000 assignment. This was after placing 2nd behind Seaside Retreat by 1 ¾ lengths for a $100,000 prize. This one should point to Princess Lea if she wants to go.

                    +1500 (15/1)
                    (8) Edge to Edge
                    +350 (7/2)

                    Distance:5 ½ Furlongs
                    Purse:$127,000

Race 8 is a big one with a $127,000 purse up for grabs. This is the feature event, with Edge to Edge and Beverly Park high on my list.

Edge to Edge is 3 for 15 in his career, and has finished 1st, 1st, 4th, 6th, 2nd in his previous five outings. He was a winner on June 5 in a $50,900 assignment by a half length.

Since then, Edge to Edge has been short, most recently coming close with a neck loss against Cowan. Good attempt that could be enough on Thursday for a win.

Beverly Park is 8 for 14 on a massive run with seven straight wins. He most recently beat Machismo by 3 ¼ lengths for a $46,000 purse.

Before that win, Beverly Park defeated Futile by 2 lengths on October 17. He keeps getting better and deserves a chance in this class. The $220,000 colt should be hard to beat with continued improvement.

There’s more horse racing to get to on Thursday afternoon and evening. We have a full day of racing with 11 racecourses covered at BetOnline in North America. There’s day and twilight racing, with Churchill Downs and Aqueduct Racetrack a couple of notable tracks running on this card.

                      Industry Leading 9% Cashback!

The Breeders’ Cup is in the books, so there isn’t any big stakes racing to look forward to in the immediate future. The next $500,000 race is scheduled to take place on November 25 with the running of the Falls City Stakes (Gr. 2).

TheSportsGeek has suggestions for two tracks on Thursday. You can get our Churchill Downs thoughts on the Churchill Downs page. Turf Paradise has eight races worth $145,760 on Thursday. Head below for free Turf Paradise picks on November 11, 2021.

A mile on the turf for a $13,160 purse is what we’re looking at for Race 2. Six horses are expected to participate, with Golden Goddess and Chicks Dig Munny in serious contention for the top prize.

Golden Goddess is a one-time winner through 24 attempts, with a winning run on December 26, 2020.

She’s gone winless in eight attempts since then. In her last outing, Golden Goddess finished 10th on September 12.

That was in a $13,800 event, so of course disappointing. Prior to that attempt, Golden Goddess placed 2nd behind Amy’s Honey by 4 ¼ lengths in the same class.

Back at it on Thursday, look for Golden Goddess to put something better together than last month.

Chicks Dig Munny is a one-time winner in ten attempts, with a solid go for a win on January 29. She beat Jubella by a neck for a $16,000 prize.

Most recently, Chicks Dig Munny placed 2nd behind Hot Heels by ¾ lengths in a $18,000 race on October 12. That same effort will be enough in this assignment.

                      Purse:$16,400

Race 4 is a $16,400 event over a mile on the dirt. House Limit and Don’tteasethetiger should be the top contenders to watch in this event.

House Limit is 5 for 20 in his career, with a big winning run on August 27 at Del Mar for a $25,000 purse. He beat Studly Perfection by ¾ lengths in that impressive display.

Following that win, House Limit finished 4th in the $200,000 Downs at Albuquerque Handicap on September 19. Then went 4th on October 10 at Fresno for a $17,000 purse. That didn’t work out well.

Don’tteasethetiger is 5 for 22, with back-to-back wins on June 27 and July 11 going into this afternoon.

He beat Unpossible by 1 ½ lengths for a $12,000 prize, and then followed up with a 2 ¼ length win in another $12,000 assignment.

If Don’tteasethetiger remains in the same class on Thursday, you have to believe that he’s going to have another chance. I will give Don’tteasethetiger the nod for a hat-trick.

Race 5 covers 7 ½ furlongs on the turf for a $20,600 purse. Big News Coming and Curious Inji should be top contenders in this one.

Big News Coming is winless in five attempts, finishing 6th, 5th, 4th, 7th, 8th through her career. She is seeing a class drop on Thursday after struggling to get into the mix.

Big News Coming most recently finished 8th on October 23 for a $61,000 purse. This was after going 7th on October 17 in a $61,000 race.

Curious Inji is winless in six attempts, and has finished 3rd, 2nd, 5th in her last three races. The filly placed 2nd behind Naughty Evelyn in a $25,000 event on September 3.

That wasn’t a bad effort from Curious Inji at Del Mar. She tried Santa Anita Park on October 11 for a $17,000 purse and faltered in 5th.

A transfer to Turf Paradise after running at Santa Anita and Del Mar in all of her career starts should serve her well. Curious Inji should find weaker competition in the desert. Look for a big run from Curious Inji.

Best Horse Racing Bets for Thursday, November 11, 2021
By J.W. Paine in Horse Racing

Of the three tracks I selected for my Thursday picks—Aqueduct Racetrack, Charles Town Races, and Remington Park—I found only a single race where I agreed with the morning-line’s SWAG.

That means higher odds on our bets, which—with fair seas and following winds—equals fatter bankrolls.

Be that as it may, remember to check out the full race-cards for my selected tracks at one of our top horseracing wagering sites.

                        Good luck!
                        Thursday’s Picks for Aqueduct Racetrack

We start on the turf course with race three, a one mile claiming run for fillies and mares three years old and upward. My money’s on the 9/2 underdog, Kreesie, piloted by Dylan Davis.

Yes, I agree that Candy Flower, the morning-line favorite, looks better statistically, but I don’t see Candy Flower racing again so soon after her third-place finish in the Zagora Stakes (Black Type) at Belmont Park on November 7th.
So, Kressie’s my bet. This six-year-old mare moneyed 16 of her 30 career starts, winning five. More importantly, she’s remained consistent with her speed figures throughout her career.

Also, 2021 has seen her finish in the money three times in five starts, posting a win in June—current stats that put her at the top of the list for this race.

Thomas Morley trains Kreesie for Rainbow’s End Racing Stable LLC.

Race five keeps us on the turf for a 1-1/16 miles allowance optional claiming run for New York-bred three-year-olds and upward. If Irad Ortiz, Jr. enters the starting gate aboard the 6/5 favorite, Graded On a Curve, then bet them to win.

This five-year-old gelding finished in the money for nine of his eleven career starts, winning four. He’s trained by Breeders’ Cup veteran Chad C. Brown for Klaravich Stables, Inc.

If that doesn’t happen, then put your money down on the 8/1 underdog, Danzigwiththestars, ridden by Luis Saez.

This three-year-old gelding moneyed four of his eight career starts, winning two. He’s trained by twenty-year racing veteran Domenick L. Schettino for owner Michael Imperio.

Race eight is a 1-1/8-mile allowance run on the turf course for three-year-olds and upward. I’m betting my two dollars on the 4/1 underdog, Regal Speaker, with Jose Lezcano in the irons.
This four-year-old colt finished six of his eleven career starts in the money, winning five, including his two most recent races at Belmont Park.

Ranked in the top 100 in earnings for the past five years, Danny Gargan trains Regal Speaker for owner Ricky Koehler.
My Thursday Picks for Charles Town Races

We’re starting on the main track for race one, a seven-furlong allowance race for West Virginia-bred fillies and mares that have never won three races.
I like the 5/1 underdog, Bronze Diva, ridden by Carlos Marrero.

This four-year-old filly moneyed four of her six career starts, winning two, making her the standout in this otherwise unimpressive short field of six.

Stacey R. Viands trains Bronze Diva for owner Melinda B. Golden.

Race three is a seven-furlong allowance run on the main track for fillies and mares three years old and upward. I’m calling this one for the second favored (at 4/1) Moonlit Shadow, ridden by Fredy Peltroche.

This three-year-old filly finished in the money seven of her ten career starts, with three wins. Notably, she finished second in the West Virginia Tourism Office Breeders’ Classic Stakes (Black Type) at Charles Town in October. Versus her competition in this eight-horse field, she’ll do.

Timothy C. Grams trains Moonlit Shadow for his own Grams Racing Stable LLC. He and his wife, Judy, are Moonlit Shadow’s breeders. Peltroche has saddled Moonlit Shadow for her last six races.

Race seven is a 4-1/2-furlong allowance run on the main track for three-year-olds and upward that have never won two races.
I’m betting my two dollars on the 4/1 underdog, Fiber Strong, and not just because top jockey Arnaldo Bocachica is in the irons.

This three-year-old gelding is already in the statistical lead of this ten-horse field: Five money finishes in nine career starts, three of the wins.

With forty-plus years in the racing business, Jeff C. Runco trains Fiber Strong for owners Lawrence J. Pascal and Philip Arthur Harding, Sr. Runco has tapped Bocachica to saddle Fiber Strong for his last two races.
                        Thursday Picks for Remington Park

Let’s start on the main track with race two, a one-mile allowance run for Oklahoma-bred fillies and mares three years old and upward.

I’m buying a win ticket on the third-favored (at 4/1) Taylor’s Vision, piloted by Lane J. Luzzi.
Frankly, none of the entries in this eight-horse field are impressive, but Taylor’s Vision has the advantage of having put herself in the money more regularly than any of her competition.

The three-year-old filly has moneyed nine of her ten career starts, winning one.

Kevin G. Scholl trains Taylor’s Vision for owners Jeffrey L. Puryear and Julie Puryear. Scholl has put Luzzi in the irons for Taylor’s Vision’s two most recent races.

Race four is a one-mile and 70 yards claiming race on the main track for three-year-olds and upward that have never won three races. I’m betting on the 5/2 morning-line favorite, Sky Jumper, with veteran jockey Stewart Elliott aboard.

Trained by owner Dick Cappellucci, Sky Jumper is the obvious choice in this race. The five-year-old gelding finished in the money six of his nine career starts, winning two.

That’s enough evidence that he can easily hit the wire ahead of the rest of this seven-horse field.

Let’s switch to the turf course for race nine, a 7-1/2-furlong allowance run for three-year-olds and upward.

If jockey Weston Hamilton rides the 4/1 also eligible/MTO underdog King Ford into the starting gate, bet them to win. Trained by Tim Dixon for owner Stan Grizzle, this five-year-old gelding moneyed 12 of his 19 career starts, winning four.

However, if that doesn’t happen, then put your two dollars down on the 8/1 sleeper, Whiskey Not Wine, with Weston Hamilton aboard.
This three-year-old gelding finished in the money for eight of his ten career starts, winning one. Without King Ford in this race, that makes Whiskey Not Wine a real contender.

Long story short – bet whichever horse Weston Hamilton rides to win.

Regularly ranked among the top 100 in annual wins since 2005, Frank Lucarelli trains Whiskey Not Wine for owner Doug Walker.

                          Today’s Racing Tips – November 11th

There are five race meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with three competitive low level jumps cards in the UK and a twilight all-weather meeting at Chelmsford. Small fields remain the order of the day after a drying week, with the ground good or faster and non-runners likely as a result.

                          Oslo

                          Market Rasen, 12:30pm

Fergal O’Brien continues in red hot form (with 8 winners in the last 14 days at a 15pc strike rate), and this fair flat performer made a promising start over hurdles in a three runner race at Plumpton 24 days ago. He raced freely there, jumping fluently as he warmed up, and briefly looked a threat to the long odds-on favourite Midnights Legacy. A bigger field at Market Rasen on Thursday will help him settle, and he makes plenty of appeal at the current prices under Paddy Brennan.

Alan King’s tough and reliable mare has a terrific record fresh, and will relish these rapidly drying ground conditions under Tom Cannon. Front-running is always a very good plan at this sharp right handed track, and she should take plenty of catching if gunned from the tape in this valuable Class 1 listed contest.
