Rocketman Sports FREE NFL play Sunday 11-14-21

NEW ORLEANS @ TENNESSEE (1:00 PM EST)
Play On: New Orleans + 3
The New Orleans Saints travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans on Sunday afternoon. New Orleans is 5-3 SU overall this year while Tennessee comes in with a 7-2 SU overall record on the season.
73% of the public is on Tennessee here but the line hasn’t moved at all. We have a Saints team that lost their starting QB, Jameis Winston and a Tennessee team that lost their star running back, Derrick Henry and they have a huge overall injury list right now. Trevor Simien has come in for the Saints and has done an Ok job so far completing 59% of his passes for 408 yards and he has 3 touchdowns compared to no interceptions.
Saints defense is ranked #1 in rushing defense allowing only 73.8 yards per game on the ground and they have the #5 defense in the league in points allowed. The play of the defense here will be the key to winning this game. Saints will shut down the Tennessee rush game and the Titans are ranked 26th in the NFL in passing so I don’t think they will overwhelm the Saints defense through the air.
Saints have been solid on the road this year going 4-1 SU allowing only 14.8 points per game away from home.
            A few trends:

New Orleans is 8-1 SU and ATS last 3 years as an underdog including 3-0 SU and ATS this year.
New Orleans is 36-16 ATS last 52 road games.
Tennessee is 1-5 ATS last 3 years as a home favorite of 3 points or less.
The Road team is 4-0 ATS last 4 meetings overall in this series.
We’ll recommend a small play New Orleans plus the points on Sunday. Thanks and good luck, Rocky

Jack's Free Pick Sunday: Detroit Lions +6.5
I really like the spot for the Detroit Lions this week. They clearly quit against the Philadelphia Eagles in their final game before their bye and lost 44-6. That effort was predictable after going 'all in' the previous week to try and beat the Rams and coming up just short.
But now the Lions have had two weeks to rest and shake off the 0-8 start that has seen them lose several close games in heartbreaking fashion. They should come back with a big effort here against the Pittsburgh Steelers to try and get that elusive first victory. And it should be enough to cover this 6.5-point spread.
It's time to 'sell high' on the Steelers off four straight victories. It's a tough spot for them on a short week after a narrow 29-27 home win over the Bears on Monday Night Football. Making matters worse is they just found out they'll be without Ben Roethlisberger due to COVID.
That means Mason Rudolph will be under center for the Steelers in this one. He wasn't preparing to be the starter all week. And while he's a decent backup, his job is much tougher now that he doesn't have two of his top three receivers. JuJu Smith-Schuster was already out for the season, and now Chase Claypool is out this week after suffering a toe injury against the Bears on Monday.
This has already been a suspect Pittsburgh offense this season averaging just 20.1 points and 324.1 yards per game even when healthy and with Big Ben. I just can't see the Steelers getting margin here with this offense that features Rudolph and very few weapons for him to get the ball to.
Detroit is 18-6 ATS in its last 24 games following a loss by 28 points or more. The Lions are 27-10 ATS in their last 37 road games following a loss by 14 points or more. Detroit is 5-0 ATS in its last five games following an ATS loss. Pittsburgh is 0-8 ATS in its last eight games as a favorite. The Steelers are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games as home favorites. Bet the Lions Sunday.

#253 ASA FREE PLAY ON Detroit +9 over Pittsburgh, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET - Detroit has come very close to getting their first win a number of times. We feel like it might happen here and we’re getting more than a TD as a cushion. The Lions lost to both the Vikings and Ravens on FG’s as time expired. A few weeks ago they went to LA to face the Rams as 17 point underdogs and led for much of the game and never trailed by more than 6 points until under 1:00 minute remaining the game (lost by 9). They outgained the potent Rams in that game. This team still has some fight left and they are coming off a bye which is a solid situation. Pittsburgh can’t be trusted as a favorite. They are 0-8 ATS their last 8 laying points. Pittsburgh has won 4 straight and 5 on the season but all of their wins have come by 8 points or less. That includes last week at home vs Chicago where they won by 2 points but were outgained by 134 yards. That was vs a Bears team that ranked dead last in YPP offense. Pittsburgh, despite their 5-4 record, is getting outgained by -0.6 YPP and is one of only 2 teams with a record above .500 that has a negative point differential. This is a Pittsburgh team that more than likely will be under .500 when the season comes to an end. Winless teams after week 4 of the season are 63-38 ATS which fits Detroit here. This just smells like a situation where the Lions will give the Steelers all they can handle. This one goes to the wire and we’ll take the points.

Pittsburgh isn't built to cover big margins like this. The Steelers haven't won a game by more than 8 points all season. They are run-oriented. Ben Roethlisberger is not nearly the feared downfield passer he once was, but there's a drop in quality with him being out. I don't hold backup QB Mason Rudolph in high regard.
The Lions are winless, but they are not 0-17 expansion-like bad. The Lions would have two victories if it weren't for long field goals at the gun by the Vikings and Ravens, which needed a record-breaking 66-yarder from Justin Tucker. Detroit is playing hard and with spirit for fiery first-year head coach Dan Campbell.
The Lions upgraded their very weak receiving corps signing Josh Reynolds this week.
The spot is good for the Lions coming off their bye week while the Steelers had to go to the wire to hold off the Bears this past Monday night.
Pittsburgh has failed to cover the past eight times it has been chalk, including an 0-4 ATS mark this season.

The Jets are definitely worth a look here. Everyone will be saying oh the Bills are due for a bounce back etc etc. Well, they looked horrible against the Dolphins who have a bad defense two weeks ago and followed that up by scoring 6 points @ the Jags, yes 6 points. The thing here though is that Mike White has actually been an upgrade at QB compared to Wilson. If he didn't get knocked out on that Thursday night game vs the Colts there was no doubt they would have covered. The Jets are still playing hard and I fully expect them to here in a good spot with extra rest.

Falcons vs Cowboys Free Pick November 14, 2021
The Atlanta Falcons have won three of their last four games, an upset triumph at New Orleans last week included.
This looks like a potential flat spot for the Falcons though, and they'll face a Dallas team that is looking to get back on track after seeing their six-game winning streak come to an end against Denver last week. Dallas QB Dak Prescott completed only 48.7 percent (19-of-39) of his passes for 232 yards, but he rarely has two poor games in a row, and running back Ezekiel Elliott should have plenty of success against an Atlanta defense that ranks 24th against the run.
The falcons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight-up win. The Cowboys are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight-up loss.
                          Free pick on Dallas Cowboys.

                            NFL | Bills vs Jets
                            Play on: OVER 47½ -110

Sunday NFL Free play. My selection is on the 'over' between Buffalo and New York at 1 pm et on Sunday.
The Jets have gone from being an extremely boring, slow-playing offensive team to one of the more exciting teams in the league to watch - not always for all the right reasons. The Jets defense was hardly able to even sniff out a stop against the Colts last week, shredded both on the ground and through the air. I'm not sure a few extra days of practice will help their cause here as they prepare to face a Bills offense that will surely be in a foul mood after last Sunday's ugly 9-6 loss in Jacksonville. I'm not about to get too down on the Bills offense. This is still one of the most explosive and creative offenses in the league under coordinator Brian Daboll. I fully expect to see Josh Allen and co. bounce back strong against a struggling, undermanned Jets defense. On the flip side, there's little reason to expect New York to suddenly go back to a conservative offensive gameplan with Mike White back under center after he was forced to leave last week's game early due to a hand injury. Note that the Jets have now attempted at least 42 passes in three consecutive games. They know that they're going to need to score plenty of points in order to keep pace with the high-powered Bills offense on Sunday afternoon. We've seen Robert Saleh's squad take a bit of a 'nothing to lose' approach in recent weeks and I look for more of the same here. The only thing keeping this total in a reasonable range is the fact that the majority of the recent meetings in this series have been low-scoring. Note that the 'over' is 8-1 in the Jets last nine games after losing four or five of their last six games ATS, as is the case here, producing an average total of 52.7 points in that situation. Take the over.
