The Sabres enter Wednesday's game off consecutive 'over' results while the Canadiens are coming off a high-scoring result of their own, posting their third straight victory on Monday night against rival Toronto. I expect a different story to unfold on Wednesday night in Montreal. Note that while the Canadiens are playing some of their best hockey right now, they've still averaged just 2.0 goals per game when coming off a win by 2+ goals this season, as is the case here. They've been held to three goals or less in eight of their last nine games - the real turnaround since Martin St. Louis took over head coaching duties has come at their own end of the rink, where they've allowed exactly two goals in three consecutive games. These two teams just met back on February 13th with the Sabres skating to a 5-3 win here in Montreal.
