I like the spot for the Golden State Warriors tonight. They will be out for revenge from a 101-107 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday in which they were outscored 33-13 in the 4th quarter. Look for them to have their revenge with an outright win here four days laters Thursday.
The Warriors are rested and ready to go playing just their 3rd game in 7 days. They are expected to get Klay Thompson back tonight after missing the last two games to give them a spark. And this team is simply motivated right now after losing four of their last five overall, so we should get an 'A' effort from them.
I question the motivation for the Mavericks and hate the spot for them. They are coming off a three-game road trip against Utah, Golden State and the Lakers in which they won the final two games. I always look to fade teams in that first home game back from an extended road trip. And how motivated will they be to beat the Warriors for a 2nd time in 5 days?
Golden State is 36-21 ATS in its last 57 games when revenging a same-season loss. The Warriors are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games following two consecutive upset losses as favorites. Dallas is 5-17 ATS in its last 22 home games following four consecutive games where they made 47% of their shots or better.

Montreal has won a surprising 6 of 7, but only 1 on the road, and have a very significant injury list. Th Habs have something of a scoring touch, averaging just under 4 goals-for a game in their last 4 matchups. Habs' goalie Hammond "aka the hamburglar" has looked terrific since an unlikely call up, but it is a very brief sample, and against sub-par opponents. The Canadiens' last game was a blow-out loss on the road.
Meanwhile back in the corral, the Flames are running roughshod over opponents, and since the blip against the Canucks, outscored the Wild 12-4 in a home and away pair. A change in coaches can spark a team, but the Habs just don't the bodies to compete with the balance of scoring, defense, and goal-tending of a very potent Flames club. Calgary is 9-1, and 8 of those wins have been by more than two goals. The Flames are a prohibitive favorite, so let's have a look at the total. I expect the Hamburglar and the Canadiens to revert to form. This one could be ugly. Take the total to go over tonight.
