I'll take my chances with Wisconsin as a slim 3-point favorite against Michigan State in Friday's Quarterfinal action out of the Big Ten Tournament. I'm shocked at how little respect the Badgers are getting in this game. I get Wisconsin had a bad loss at home to Nebraska in the regular-season finale to prevent them from an outright Big Ten regular-season title, but they did lose one of the best players in the country in Johnny Davis midway thru that game.
The good news for the Badgers is that the injury wasn't serious and Davis is listed as probable to play in this game. With Davis on the floor, I just feel like Wisconsin should be a much bigger favorite, especially with them playing their first game of the tournament, while the Spartans are playing on no rest after a hard fought 76-72 win over Maryland yesterday.
To me I just think the line here is a product of the respect people have for a Tom Izzo coached team in March. I get it. The guy has been really good, but this is not your typical Michigan State team that surged down the stretch. They went 3-7 over their final 10 games. Give me the Badgers -3!

I know they are in a B2B after a loss at Buffalo last night. However, that marked Jack Eichel's return to face his former team and it was an ugly environment. That said, there is sense of relief for Eichel and the Golden Knights to have that game out of the way. Look for Vegas to respond big tonight and get back on track. So much value here with a good team in the +150 price range and I feel the Golden Knights are absolutely worth a look in this one! Knights are 16-10-1 in road games this season and Penguins have lost 14 of 29 home games this season! The fact is that Vegas has been better on the road than at home this season and the same holds true for Pittsburgh but of course normal home ice pricing is baked into this line. However, the level of competition has been significantly greater, as they fell 3-2 (in OT) to Carolina, then 4-3 to Florida. Pittsburgh is 15-9-2 at home and I believe it can duplicate its 5-3 win at Vegas against the Knights in mid-January. Consider laying the price with the Penguins on this one!

It's time to give some due to the Timberwolves. Below the radar, they have won six in a row. Their winning margin in these games is 24 points. Minnesota's last four victories were against two bad teams - Thunder and Trail Blazers.
But the Magic are a terrible team, too, with the worst record in the NBA at 17-50.
Yet Orlando is coming off a rare win having defeated the Pelicans, 108-102, two days ago. New Orleans was missing its top scorer, Brandon Ingram.

Friday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between New York and Memphis at 8:10 pm et on Friday.
Given the pace at which the Knicks are playing right now, I believe this total will prove too high on Friday night. New York has held each of its last seven opponents to 88 or fewer field goal attempts with four of those opponents getting off 83 or less. It didn't allow a single opponent to make good on 40 or more field goals over that stretch. Not surprisingly, we've seen a recent turn in o/u results in games involving the Knicks with the 'under' cashing in two of their last three contests. The Grizzlies have similarly been controlling their opposition's pace, yielding 89, 86, 82 and 88 field goal attempts over their last four games. The difference of course is that Memphis continues to really push the envelope offensively, hoisting up 90+ FG attempts in six of its last seven games. As a result, though, we're dealing with a very high total once again here. Note that the Grizz got off 102 FG attempts in their last meeting with the Knicks back in February but still scored 'only' 120 points. I think that's likely a high-water mark for the Grizz in this rematch and one that may be tough to reach should the Knicks continue to present resistance as they have particularly in the latter stages of this road trip.
