MADELYNS HEAT - Jock hops back on after getting to know the beautiful animal by riding in the last race. That's always a good thing. Looking at today's class figure, this thoroughbred is encountering an easier bunch than in the last race at Turfway Park. Ranked at the very top in earnings per race. Another indicator that this horse is the class of the race. ORDER OF THE DAY - This colt is in good form, having run a good race on Feb 23rd, finishing third. VITAL SIGNS - Faced tougher last race out at Turfway Park. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this one on my list of strong contenders.
Vulnerable Contenders: #7 TIGHTWAD (ML=7/2), #2 WAYLAID (ML=5/1), #12 AFTERMATH (ML=8/1),
TIGHTWAD - Finished ninth last time. Would have to improve to be in the money in today's race. WAYLAID - Showed very little in the last race. Really don't see any chance of a reversal of fortune today. The speed rating last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this contest when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's contest. Mark this horse as a questionable contender. AFTERMATH - This gelding notched a speed fig in his last event which probably isn't good enough in today's race.
