#5 She's Hamazing She has proven to be a decent finisher through three starts, and she'll face a slightly easier bunch this time around. She's just tactical enough to track what pace there is in here, and she finds a field she should be able to handle today.
#8 Mazie G She has some speed in a race without a ton of confirmed front-end pace, and she might be able to stick around a bit better here after a decent try when facing some of these last out. Forward player gets a good race shape.
#7 War Music She was no match for the top choice when they met last time out, so she has that obvious table to turn in this spot. That said, she's capable of something better than she showed that day, so a bounce back effort would be no surprise.
Race Summary She's Hamazing probably gets bet a little bit in here, but this is not a very deep group, she has already beaten one of the other logical players, and she should work out a good trip. Think it might be worth having #4 Half Scout on the tickets here, too.

Oaklawn Park - Race #8
Picks Notes
#9 Tiz Rye Time The draw is a mild concern, but I really liked his local debut last time out, and he'll rise back into starter company for this team. Thinking he can hit hard here, even while facing this deeper group.
#6 Incorruptable There isn't a whole of of serious speed lined up other than this guy who will stretch around two turns for the first time, and maybe there's enough pedigree to get him a route distance if he's left alone a bit on the engine.
#7 Leading West He has been really consistent in recent starts, and he didn't miss by a whole lot with similar last time out. He's the one to fear late, but I think there will be some better price options on the board.
Race Summary Tiz Rye Time has just a touch of positional pace that should serve him well in a race where Incorruptable might be able to shake loose with some sprint speed stretching out. Hoping he'll offer a second-choice price?

Oaklawn Park - Race #9
Picks Notes
#8 Braska He's a bit short on excuses after 13 tries, but he might be able to show up late to score here in a race full of horses who want to stop badly late. He shows some fairly reliable finishing interest, and that may pay off today.
#6 Mammoth Spring He has some pace and will meet several chase-and-fade types that he will have totally discouraged by the top of the lane, so he looks like the obvious danger of the forward players.
#3 Point Blank He has been heading in the right direction and doesn't seem overmatched here, and like the top choice, he has some ability to come running late when many of these are stopping.
Race Summary It is not going to take much to land this one, so 13-start maiden Braska isn't out of the question. Lots of dull form signed on in here, and his ability to keep running late might be enough to get him home.

You have to bet this horse at a track configuration he likes. There's nothing like being comfortable out on the track when it's time to race. ELGAR - Flopped as the betting favorite in his last start. Ran well considering the speed figure garnered was good enough to make him one of the contenders in today's event. I like to play this angle, a thoroughbred coming back off a solid outing within the last thirty days. Rivera and Wolochuk perform well when they join forces. Hard to beat a winning percentage of 32. This horse recorded a strong speed rating of 89 in his last race. That speed fig should be lofty enough to score this time out. ESCAPE VELOCITY - This gelding likes to be near the lead. Today's contest is a shorter distance and should help his chances. Sprinters that come back to the races quickly are generally good plays. This gelding is tops in earnings per start. Check out this one in the paddock.

This horse picks up a lot of dough per start. I believe he can increase that bankroll in this event. CALL WEST - Nocero has this gelding signed up for the ideal race.
