The Los Angeles Dodgers will be highly motivated for a victory Sunday after dropping the first two games of this series to the San Francisco Giants. They will avoid the sweep with a win in Game 3 this afternoon due to their advantage on the mound.
Julio Urias is 3-5 with a 2.78 ERA and 1.114 WHIP in 11 starts this season for the Dodgers. Urias owns the Giants, going 4-2 with a 2.38 ERA and 1.160 WHIP in 16 career starts against them. The Dodgers (-125) are worth a look as a slim road favorite against the Giants in Sunday's MLB action. LA will be locked in to avoid getting swept by their division rivals. I also think they have an edge on the mound in this one. San Francisco's Carlos Rodon has came back to reality after his amazing start to the season. Sunday's MLB Free Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers -123
I'll take my chances with the Dodgers as a -123 road favorite against the Giants on Sunday. This to me is big time value with Los Angeles. The Dodgers haven't been playing great of late, but we know that isn't going to last.
I also think San Francisco's Carlos Rodon is getting a little to much respect from the books due to his great start to 2022. He's now just 4-4 with a 3.51 ERA and 1.254 WHIP in 11 starts. That's jumped to a 3.77 ERA and 1.535 WHIP over his last 3 outings. He's also got a 4.76 ERA and 1.412 WHIP in 3 career starts against the Dodgers. All of which have ended in LA wins.
Dodgers will have Julio Urias on the mound. He's been rock solid, posting a 2.78 ERA and 1.114 WHIp in 11 starts. He's got a 2.40 ERA in 6 road outings and a 2.38 ERA in 16 career starts vs the Giants. Give me the Dodgers -123!

4th race [Clm 50000 N2L, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (6) Vintage Girl will try the N2L condition for the first time following a second against open claimers from which she was taken for $40,000 by Jimmy Ryerson. (5) Princess Blakely has two starts on the Tapeta at Gulfstream Park for Chad Brown including a debut victory and then a fourth in a Fla.-bred allowance. (2) Mandy Green won a maiden claimer in her first start at Gulfstream and tried a few starter allowances. (4) Maybe Later will drop down and make her first appearance in the N2L condition.
5th race [OC 62k/N2X, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (5) Capital Structure (A) was seen last at Saratoga when she was rank, dragged her rider toward the front, and then faded. (6) Angel Palm made a significant improvement in her second start following a layoff with a front-end victory at Belmont. (2) Giggle Factory won an allowance at Aqueduct while racing on the lead. (3) Flying Fortress made her 2022 debut at Laurel with an allowance win for Shug McGaughey.
7th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 1 mi] – (7) Brattle House (A) was an open length winner against NY-breds finishing up her restricted allowance conditions and now tries open company as she moves to the barn of Bill Mott. (4) Sweet Surprise is back in the barn of Tim Hills after a series of very good efforts in allowance and starter allowance races. (3) Malibu Curl has some back class having run third in the Demoiselle (G2) as a 2-year-old. She was third most recently at Belmont at this level. (5) Wasp won her second NY-bred allowance in March for Todd Pletcher, but is still eligible for the first-level allowance which is the case with the top choice.
9th race [Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (1) King of Sting gets back on the grass where he showed speed at the Fair Grounds a few races back for Joe Sharp. (12) Splendid Summer will drop from maiden special weights to claiming for the first time for Todd Pletcher. After an experiment with blinkers, they come off. (11) I Am the Law has three good races on the turf this year any of which could win against this field. (7) Fiery Heart returns as a new gelding and drops down a bit after racing at Gulfstream this winter for Mark Hennig.

2nd race – (5) Pretty Birdie (B) was a game second in a graded stakes and looks best here. (2) Wicked Halo was third behind the top pick and should be the main rival. (4) Sweet as Pie could be a stretch threat. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5.
4th race – (7) Boxing Day weakened after making a strong move into contention. Could work out a winning trip here. (10) J. L.’s Rockette was claimed by Eric Reed who claimed Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike. Is definitely worth a look here. (8) Mun Luv should welcome a return to turf. (4) Margie’s Kitchen will appreciate some class relief after running in a stakes . Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7-8-10. Doubles: 4-7-8-10 with 1-2-3.
5th race – (3) The Mary Rose comes off a strong gate to wire win and can make it two in a row here. (1) W W Fitzy missed by a neck and should be the main rival once again. (2) Misty Veil beat W W Fitzy last time and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3.
7th race – (1) Escape Route comes off a second and was claimed by Diodoro. Rates top billing in this field. (5) Verb might wake up with a turf to dirt switch. OSCAR WINNER WALLY - This thoroughbred coming off a solid race in the last 30 days is a contender in my book. COWBOY CASANOVA - I think this gelding is very sharp right now. I like the fact that Chleborad brings him back to a race so quickly. Was in a $30,000 Optional Claiming race at Prairie Meadows in the last race. That affair had an Equibase class figure of 92 and he is moving down right here. A certain win candidate. Gelding is a few starts into a comeback here. Should give a top effort today. BIG PINES SANDY - Nice return on investment for this rider and conditioner twosome. Gelding's last work was second fastest of the day for the distance. Horse has improved at least 2 speed figure points in last 2 races. I look for that positive trend to continue in this field.

He shouldn't show signs of improvement and will likely suffer defeat in today's race running that number. FOR ME LET IT BE - This gelding finished off the board on Sep 25th and wasn't close to winning in the last race either. This gelding hasn't had any in the money efforts in sprint contests in the last two months.
