Monday 6/20/22 Free Plays / Trends / Betting Info / Etc
This is a free play on Pittsburgh.
The Cubs trail the Pirates by 1.5 games in the standings, and they have two fewer road wins than the Pirates have at home. The Cubs come into Steel Town as a favorite despite sending a struggling rookie pitcher to the mound.
Caleb Killian allowed five runs on five hits and five walks in just four innings in a 19-5 loss to San Diego his last time out.
The Pirates hand the ball to JT Brubaker, who's record doesn't look at that impressive. Brubaker (0-7, 4.50 ERA) has been better than the numbers suggest. His ERA is just 3.21 over his last five starts.
The Cubs are 5-17 in their last 22 versus a team with a losing record.

Play - Tampa Bay w/McClellan (Game 962).
Edges - Rays: McClellan 9-4 with 1.84 ERA and 0.86 WHIP this season, including 6-1 with 0.98 ERA and 0.76 WHIP last seven starts … Yankees: Cole 3-7 last ten starts in this series, including 1-3 in this park … With McClellan in strong KW form with 24 Ks and 3 BBs in his last three starts, we recommend a 1* play on Tampa Bay. Thank you and good luck as always.
Dave's Monday Free Play:
1* on Tampa Bay Rays +118 The Key: Ace Shane McClanahan takes the ball for the Tampa Bay Rays tonight to shut down the New York Yankees. McClanahan is 7-3 with a 1.84 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 13 starts this year with 105 strikeouts in 78 1/3 innings. He has yielded exactly one earned run in each of his last 3 starts against the Yankees. Gerrit Cole is 1-2 with a 5.24 ERA in his last 4 starts against the Rays while yielding 13 earned runs in 22 1/3 innings. Cole sports a 4.60 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 6 road starts this year. I like the price we are getting on McClanahan and the Rays at home tonight. The Rays are 15-2 in their last 17 home games off a loss to a division opponent as a favorite. Take Tampa Bay.
Jack's Free Pick Monday: San Francisco Giants +135
The Atlanta Braves just had their 14-game winning streak come to an end over the weekend. They lost two out of three to the Chicago Cubs. Don't be surprised to see a bit of a downturn from them after having their streak snapped.
I like the value we are getting on Logan Webb and the San Francisco Giants today. Webb is 6-2 with a 3.43 ERA and 1.182 WHIP in 13 starts this season. He has never lost to the Braves, going 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 0.800 WHIP in three career starts against them while allowing just 3 earned runs and 16 base runners in 20 innings.
No question Max Fried is the ace of this Atlanta staff and having a great season at 7-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 13 starts. But the Giants are 13-6 vs. left-handed starters this season and scoring 5.4 runs per game in those 19 games. The Braves are only scoring 4.0 runs per game against right-handed starters this season.
The Giants are 31-10 in Webb's 41 starts over the past two seasons. San Francisco is 10-1 in Webb's last 11 starts vs. good power teams that average 1.25 or more homers per game. The Giants are 48-22 in their last 70 during Game 1 of a series. San Francisco is 43-21 in its last 64 road games. Bet the Giants Monday.
*action on pitchers* Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach MLB Free Pick San Francisco Giants Money Line +140 @ Atlanta Braves @ 7:20 ET - The Giants are off a loss at Pittsburgh Sunday and are 5-0 last 5 times when off a loss. Regardless of pitchers, I like San Francisco to make it 6-0 when in this situation. As for the Braves, they have lost 2 of last 3 and scored an average of only 3 runs per game in those 3 games. I know that, prior to this, Atlanta had been red hot but they also had faced a weak slate of teams. Great value with the Giants as a sizable underdog in my opinion. Also, Webb has been throwing quite well while Fried has been hit hard in last couple stats. The value is with the road underdog off a loss. Giants are 13-6 this season against left-handed starters while Braves only 22-22 this season against right-handed starters. Free Pick SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS +140

MLB | Cardinals vs Brewers
Play on: Brewers -163 at Caesars
On the surface this line looks to be too high in a pitching matchup of Miles Mikolas (2.62 ERA) versus Corbin Burnes (2.52 ERA).
Mikolas is coming off a near no-hitter against the Pirates in his last start this past Tuesday coming within one out. Here's the rub, though. Mikolas was left in the game despite a high pitch count to try to achieve that historic feat. He ended up throwing a career-high 129 pitches.
Burnes, the reigning Cy Young Award winner, faced the Cardinals on May 29 and gave up only two hits in seven innings with 11 strikeouts in Milwaukee's 8-0 victory. Mikolas opposed Burns in that game and gave up six runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings, including two home runs.
The Brewers are 27-17 against righthanded starters and 22-11 in Central Division play.
This game sets up for the Brewers. So I want them on my ticket.

MLB | Blue Jays vs White Sox
Play on: Blue Jays -129 at linepros
Monday's MLB Free Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -129
I'll take my chances with the Blue Jays as a slim -129 road favorite against the White Sox in Monday's series opener. Toronto was able to avoid getting swept at home by the Yankees with a 10-9 win on Sunday.
I look for the Blue Jays offense to stay hot against the White Sox's Lance Lynn, who struggled in his first start of 2022 last week. Lynn gave up 3 runs on 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings at Detroit. Lynn is also just 1-3 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.432 WHIP in 8 career starts vs the Blue Jays.
Toronto will go with Jose Berrios. The veteran is 5-2, but has a mediocre 4.65 ERA and 1.242 WHIP in 13 starts. What I like, is that Berrios comes in hot, having posted a 2.45 ERA and 0.636 WHIP in his last 3 starts. He's also got a strong 3.12 ERA and 1.111 WHIP in 21 career starts vs the White Sox. Give me the Blue Jays -129 Confidence Rating: 6 (Scale of 1-10)
