FRANK’S CUTTING ROOM FLOOR FOR FRIDAY, 8/5:
My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Friday is with the Arizona Diamondbacks with the money-line versus the Colorado Rockies listing both starting pitchers Madison Bumgarner and German Marquez. Arizona (46-58) has lost five of their last six games after their 7-4 loss at Cleveland on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks have won 14 of their last 22 games after losing four of their last five games. They return home to Coors Field where they have won 5 of their last 6 games. Colorado (47-61) snapped their five-game losing streak with a 7-3 win at San Diego yesterday. But the Rockies have lost 4 in a row after winning their last game. They have also lost 13 of their last 18 road games against teams with a losing record. Take Arizona with the money-line listing both starting pitchers. Best of luck — Frank.
