Because I fully expect each club to score and then odds say they will not settle for a draw. Sepsi will be fired up to perform at home and Universitatea Craiova will be fired up to stay hot. The Louisville Cardinals are an extremely inconsistent team. They are capable of a really good showing once in a while, but they lack the consistency that a well coached team like Wake Forest shows. Dave Clawson is a really good coach, and I trust him to have the Demon Deacons ready for this game. Wake Forest's slow mesh offense is very tough to defend. Louisville ranks 122nd in the nation at PFF in tackling grade. The Louisville secondary is the weakness of the defense. They rely on getting pressure on the quarterback to slow down the opposing passing attack. I think Wake Forest will have a scheme to get ready of the ball quickly. Malik Cunningham is a dynamic player, but he has to do too much by himself. Wake Forest's defense is improved under Brad Lambert too. Take Wake Forest here.

Temple is coming off consecutive demoralizing losses against Central Florida and Tulsa. In fact, you could even say the Owls are off three straight demoralizing defeats as those two disappointing results were preceded by a 24-3 rout at the hands of Memphis. I say that the last two losses were particularly bad as the first came by a 70-13 score against UCF - a game Temple actually led with less than two minutes remaining in the first quarter. There was a stretch in that game where the Owls allowed six UCF touchdowns over a 14-minute span from the second to third quarter. Last week, the Owls forced three turnovers against Tulsa but could only parlay it into 16 points in an eventual double-digit loss. Navy is coming off a defeat of its own, falling by a 38-20 score against Houston last Saturday. It does still check in 4-1 ATS over its last five games and draws a favorable matchup here against an Owls defense that has been lit up for 5.1 yards per rush attempt in three previous road games this season. As I noted a couple of weeks ago, this Navy defense might just be alright this season, which is more than could have been said for the Midshipmen in recent years. That being said, they've allowed 78 points over their last two games - I see this as an ideal 'get right' matchup against a Temple offense that is struggling to find anything in particular to hang its hat on. QB E.J. Warner (yes, Kurt's son) has shown flashes teaming up with WR Jose Barbon but as we saw in last week's game, opponents are starting to key on Temple's standout WR. He's one of the Owls only legitimate threats on offense and I'm confident Navy can keep him at bay here. Noting that Temple is 0-8 ATS in its last eight games as a road underdog while Navy has gone a perfect 6-0 ATS the last six times it has come off consecutive defeats, we'll confidently lay the points with the Midshipmen here. Now they take on a South Carolina team that is getting too much respect after going 4-0 SU & 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games. Well, they took advantage of QB injuries in their last 2 games to Will Levis of Kentucky and Haynes King of Texas A&M to pull off those upset wins. The other 2 wins came against Charlotte and South Carolina State. Their luck runs out this week. They will be up against an elite Missouri defense that is limiting opponents to 23.1 PPG, 327.4 YPG and 5.1 YPP despite the tough schedule. The Gamecocks are in the Top 25 now and feeling good about themselves. They will let up this week. South Carolina is 1-7-1 ATS in its last 9 games after covering the spread in its previous game. Take Missouri.

They are coming off a 38-18 loss to a down Louisiana team that wasn't even as close as that final score. They gave up 522 yards to a bad Louisiana offense and were outgained by 251 yards. Now they take a step up in class here against South Alabama, which will be angry following its first conference loss of the season to Troy last week. The Jaguars will be refocused and ready to go.
