THE CALLING STONE - Was in a Maiden Special race at Fair Grounds last time out. That event had a class figure of 71 and she is moving down right here in this race. A certain contender. I like to invest in this handicapping theory, a racer coming back off a nice contest within the last thirty days. Filly took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. That 61 fig this filly registered in her last affair tells me she's a big time player this time out.
Vulnerable Contenders: #3 SHE'S WAYNE'S (ML=2/1), #1 SERIOUSLY SAM (ML=5/2), #7 REMEMBERIN RONALD (ML=6/1),
SHE'S WAYNE'S - The chalk horse is vulnerable here with the lack of drills. Garnered a quite unimpressive speed fig in the last race in a Maiden Special race on December 20th. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that rating. SERIOUSLY SAM - A bit of a less than stellar performance when this filly finished third. REMEMBERIN RONALD - No good results for this horse in a sprint race over the last 60 days tells me that this filly is in a tough circumstance Finished fourth in her most recent race with a quite unimpressive speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group.
