I think MERAVIGLIOSO is a solid choice particularly if the morning line of 8/1 holds. Tough to pass on this filly with Laprida in the irons. The speed figure of 73 from her last race looks decent in here. Going in a dirt sprint race gives this filly a very strong shot. TRIPLE P - The Equibase speed fig of 75 from her most recent contest looks strong in here. Very good selection to take this race going in a dirt sprint. BETTY'S SMILE - She has a respectable distance/surface win record - 5 / 18. It's a good sign that Grusmark is using Davis on this entrant.

POWER IN NUMBERS - Franco was aboard this colt in the last race and was impressed enough to take the animal right back. First-time going 1 mile. This trainer is a keen one when it comes to stretching out any animal. I'd give them a real good look. RIDE UP - Rider hops back on board after getting to know the magnificent animal by riding last out. That's always a great angle. Colt ran well at big odds when he made his debut Jan 14th. Made up a ton of ground running 7 furlongs in the last race. Should do well on the stretch-out today. ASMODEUS - Rode this thoroughbred on January 28th and Huayas is back again in the irons in today's contest.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 REGISTER (ML=7/2), #8 THERE BE DRAGONS (ML=6/1), #10 MCCULLOUGH (ML=8/1),

REGISTER - Not a perfect 'situation' in this race. THERE BE DRAGONS - A closer like this one needs a speed battle to set things up and he isn't likely to get one this time around. MCCULLOUGH - No early speed in this bunch to help set-up his late rush.
