Have to examine solely on class, with some of the top class numbers of this field. VALIANT MISS PRISS - Looks very good to be close to the front end at the first call. With a very good 90 speed figure last time out, will definitely be a factor in this race. JESS THE LEADER - This gelding has a good winning percentage in short races. Might best this group of animals here, showing very good figs of late.

I think TAP THE CANDY is a respectable choice. Has quite good speed figures and has to be considered for a bet in this race. Will more than likely be one of the front-runners of the bunch going into the halfway point of the race. The Equibase speed fig of 78 from his last affair looks strong in here. BACON - With a nice class fig average of 91, has one of the best class advantages in this field. Has performed admirably lately in route races, posting a nifty 70 avg speed fig. DOM GERVASIO - Correas has him trained well to break promptly out of the starting gate. Has to be considered a solid contender on earnings per start at the distance/surface alone.

NECCO - As long as Rodriguez keeps this pony off the pace, I have to believe this one could be a huge winner. You'll be generating profits left and right by turning your racing money onto this rider/trainer combination. This horse's last race was out at Penn National in a race with a class number of 64. Dropping significantly in class figure this time puts him in a solid position in this event. This gelding's last fig is high enough to win here, I'll bet on him back again in today's event. T C GREELEY - I really like that recent effort on March 8th at Penn National where he finished second. Ran last out against much better horses at Penn National. The move to a lower class rank should suit him well. Last raced at Penn National carrying 12 pounds more. The lower impost in this race should serve him well.

PAGETT - 7/2 odds isn't enough for this horse when scrutinizing the most recent outings. This gelding hasn't had any recent success in short distance affairs. Tough to wager on him in this event. Registered a substandard speed figure last race out in a $10,000 Maiden Claiming race on Jan 23rd. Not likely to see an improved performance off of that fig. HE'S FANCY FREE - The speed figure last time out doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's contest. Mark this horse as a likely underpriced equine. HERE COMES LUCKY - 8/1 is not enough of a price to take on this thoroughbred.
