If this line was a tad bit lower, it would’ve most likely made it as a premium release for me this weekend. Guys, let’s address the not one, but two elephants in the room here. For starters, is anyone else tired of hearing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? I don’t wish them any ill will, but come on folks (lol). Second, I think we can all agree that all critics around the world scrutinizing Zach Wilson and his lack of talent, I think is a little harsh. Obviously, when Aaron Rodgers went down in that Monday Night game against Buffalo at home, the throats of every Jets fan in the world fell to their stomachs. But what happened? They wound up winning on the Monday Night platform and headlines didn’t stop surrounding the team. I think we can all agree that the Bills, and more specifically, Josh Allen didn’t play very well that night. They then came back down to Earth on the road in Dallas to get crushed, 30-10. OK. Fine, the Cowboys are supposed to be an elite team in the NFL. And I’ll even give them a mulligan in their 15-10 loss at home against the Patriots because New England seems to have their number (15 consecutive losses in the series). Let’s put a pin in that and come back around. The Chiefs kicked off the season without a couple of key players on the Thursday Night platform at home, and lost 21-20 at the hands of the Lions. Yes, they were without Travis Kelce and one of their best offensive lineman. But let’s maybe give Detroit a bit of credit there, folks. Kansas City then came out on the road to take down Jacksonville, 17–9. They followed that up at home with an annihilation of Chicago, 41-10. By the way, they did cover those last two outings. Guys let’s talk turkey. The Chiefs are a phenomenal team led by one of the best players in football today. After this matchup this week, they really don’t have a solid opponent until a November 5 meeting with the Dolphins, and then follow that up with a November 20 matchup with the Eagles. But they can’t take their foot off the gas and get stale between now and then. Even with their Week 1 lackluster performance, Kansas City still possesses a top-10 offense in just about every major category. Now, the Jets have faced several good offenses already. But the Chiefs are a whole different monster, my friends. I don’t see their already overworked defense slowing down the juggernaut, which is Mahomes and the Kansas City “O”. And offensively, let’s face it, New York is absolutely atrocious. They rank at or near the bottom of the barrel in just about every major offensive category. And while Kansas City hasn’t gone up against too many solid offenses, I doubt their defense is in any real trouble here. They still yield a mere. 13.3 points per game. And are equally tough against the rush as they are against the pass. Defensive Coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo is a pretty sharp guy. I’m sure you’re going to see him throw everything but the kitchen sink against the unproven and unthreatening, Zach Wilson. This game is going to get ugly. Just for the record guys, the Chiefs have covered the last three games played on the road while the Jets have failed to cover two of their last three games played at home. Take Kansas City. Thank you.
