This is a play on the SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS-15.5 for our Saturday Free Play. It has been a rough season for South Carolina as it is 2-6 on the season following its fourth straight loss. The schedule has done them no favors as they have played the No. 1 toughest schedule in the country. The recent losing streak had three of those games take place on the road and the lone home game was against Florida which resulted in a two-point loss after the Gators scored the game winning touchdown with 47 seconds remaining. Their six losses have come against teams with a combined record of 37-11 but the good news is that this is the first of four straight home games to close the season and winning out is a definite possibility to get to a bowl game. they have been unable to run the ball as they are ranked No. 128 in rushing offense with the schedule having a lot to do with that but the passing game has been solid at No. 28 with Spencer Rattler holding his own with 2,117 yards on a 69.5 percent completion rate with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. Jacksonville St. has had a great first season at the FBS level as it is 7-2 including a 5-1 record in Conference USA, one game behind Liberty. They have had a much easier run however as they have played a schedule ranked No. 133 with all seven of their wins coming against teams .500 or worse and the two losses coming against the only winning teams they have played. Granted, South Carolina falls into the former but it is the only Power 5 team on the schedule as they will not match up with that roster.
