    Dave's Saturday Free Play:

    1* on Jacksonville State/South Carolina OVER 55

The Key: Jacksonville State ranks 2nd in tempo this season while South Carolina ranks 28th. There are going to be extra possessions in this game with how fast both teams play on offense. South Carolina is 3-0 OVER at home this season with 80 combined points with Florida, 67 combined points with Mississippi State and 68 combined points with Furman. Jacksonville State is 3-0 OVER in its last three road games with 57 combined points with FIU, 75 combined points with Middle Tennessee and 63 combined points with Sam Houston State. Both defenses have been terrible against the pass and this is a big step up in competition for this Jacksonville State defense fading Spencer Rattler and company. Temperatures will be in the 60's with sunny skies and only 5 MPH winds Saturday inside Williams-Brice Stadium in South Carolina. Take the OVER.

Ole Miss -3 1.1% Free Play

Ole Miss fighting for their chances to play in the SEC Title game & a possilbe College Football playoff. They have an elite offense, and their defnese plays well at home. Overall, Ole Miss has been a great home team, and it seems that Kiffin has Jimbo Fisher's number. Texas AM has been horrible on the road and at 5-3 they are out of the SEC title race. Fishesr 0-7 ATS As a road dog of 7 points or less since at A&M, which just tell me he is getting out coached on a consistent basis. Would have loved this to be a night game.

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Notre Dame -3

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish sit at 7-2 and with their sights set on a New Year's 6 game. They are coming off a 48-20 win over USC, then a bye week, followed by a 58-7 win over Pitt. The Fighting Irish are playing much better than Clemson right now, and they are much fresher. Clemson is coming off consecutive road losses to Miami 28-20 (OT) and NC State 24-17. That followed up a lackluster 17-12 home win over Wake Forest as a 21-point favorite. This will be Clemson's toughest test since a 31-24 home loss to Florida State. Clemson sits at 4-4 on the season with nothing to play for at his point, which is a new feeling for them at this point in the season. They may be without star RB Will Shipley, who suffered a concussion against NC State and is very questionable to play. They aren't going to be able to run on Notre Dame, which is going to put extra pressure on QB Cade Klubnik to make plays, and he just hasn't lived up to they hype this season. Now he'll be up against the best defense he has faced all season in a Notre Dame stop unit that allows just 15.3 points per game and 279 yards per game. The Fighting Irish are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games against ACC opponents. Give me Notre Dame.

*3 Star Free Pick on Arizona State+11* The Arizona State Sun Devils are 11 point underdogs here with a total set at 40. Arizona State has improved drastically in the last month or so. The Sun Devils defense held Washington to 15 points (a pick six was Washington's only TD) in the game. Arizona State just rolled up 7.8 YPP and 509 yards of offense against Washington State in their last game.

Utah is an extremely well coached team. The Utes aren't a team I like to fade very often. Still, this Utah team has plenty of issues. They aren't good on the offensive line. It should be tough for them to move the ball against Arizona State. Utah struggles to get distance from quality teams. Their quarterback is feisty, but the talent level isn't as high as normal.

Road underdogs of this size with a total set so low has been a great angle to bet in the past decade. I think this will be a low scoring game, and I'll grab the double digits here.

            Take Arizona State.

                ASA

#349/350 ASA FREE PLAY ON Over 56 Points – Georgia Tech vs Virginia, Saturday at 2 PM ET - The Georgia Tech defense has been abysmal this season allowing 467 YPG on 6.6 YPP ranking them 130th and 128th in those 2 key stats. The Jackets have allowed at least 38 points in 4 of their last 6 games. They can’t pressure the QB, ranking 101st in sacks per game, which plays nicely into UVA’s strength offensively which is throwing the ball (243 YPG passing). The Cavs aren’t a great running team but should have success keep their offense balanced in this game vs GT’s rush defense which ranks 132nd (dead last) at stopping the run. Virginia has scored at least 24 points in each of their last 4 games, all vs defenses ranked much better than this Georgia Tech stop unit. Since getting starting QB Muskett back in the line up 4 games ago, the Cavs have averaged 27 PPG on almost 400 YPG. They will have success offensively in this game vs the worst defense they’ve faced this season. Defensively, UVA won’t slow down this potent Ga Tech offense. The Jackets rank in the top 20 nationally in total offense and YPP. They are a very good running team averaging over 190 YPG on the ground on 5.5 YPC (12th nationally) and they are facing a UVA defense that ranks 96th in rushing YPG allowed and YPC allowed. This Virginia defense also allowed 31 PPG which is 107th in the country. Tech averages 32 PPG so we expect them to top 30 in this game. GT plays fast (30th in tempo) and UVA is middle of the pack so we should have plenty of offensive snaps in this game. Tech games are averaging 64 total points this season and Virginia games are averaging 55 points per game. Last year was a low scoring game but both offenses ranked outside the top 100 and that’s not the case this season. The 4 meetings previous to last year totaled 88, 61, 57, and 76 total points. Weather looks perfect in Charlottesville on Saturday afternoon with temps in the upper 60’s and winds less than 5 MPH. High scoring here.

Mike Lundin's Tulane/East Carolina CFB Free Pick

The Tulane Green Ware are 7-1 SU and 3-5 ATS. The East Carolina Pirates are 1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS.

I expect a big game from Tulane today following a couple of uninspired outings against North Texas and Rice. They got the wins, but had to work for it and I think they'll be looking to put this game away early.

Tulane is allowing only 332.8 yards a game which ranks second in the ACC, and the Pirates have been held to 17 points or fewer in six of their eight games. The Green Wave meanwhile have scored 30+ in five straight contests.

Take #353 Over 30.5 in Iowa Hawkeyes over Northwestern Wildcats (3:30p.m., Saturday, November 4 Peacock) Luckily this game is only available on streaming, as you do not see a total this low in college football all that often. Iowa OC Brian Ferentz is all but fired come seasons end of sooner and I just feel Iowa is going to try and let him go out with some dignity. There are numerous ways that this total can hit and that includes defense and special teams. There is also the possibility of overtime and all these situations set up a strong play with the over. PLAY ON BAYLOR BEARS -3

I'll take my chances with Baylor as a slim 3-point home favorite against Houston. Something has to give in this one. The Bears are 0-5 SU and 0-4-1 ATS at home, while Houston is 0-3 SU and 0-3 ATS on the road. My money is on Baylor snapping their streak. The Cougars were shutout in last week's 41-point loss at K-State. Houston's defense has been taken to the woodshed in Big 12 play. Cougars are giving up 39.2 ppg and 453.2 ypg in conference games. Houston's defense has struggled against the pass, which is without question the strength of this Baylor offense. Cougars' head coach Dana Holgorsen has gone 6-17 ATS as a head coach in road games vs teams who average 275 or more passing yards/game. Houston has also not fared well off a bad offensive showing, going just 4-18 ATS in their last 22 of a game where they had 225 or fewer total yards. Give me Baylor -3!
