Strong jock with conditioner numbers make this horse a strong wagering choice. IM JESS TORIFIC - Shows reliable speed figures on average overall when compared with the rest of this field. With Rivera uptop him, this gelding will probably be able to break out early for this event. PEPSI GREY - Looks very good versus this group and should be one of the early speedsters. Has to be considered based on the very good speed figure put up in the last contest.

SILENT SUNDAY - If this gelding gets out of the gate cleanly, he'll be tough to catch. I like to see fast morning activity. This gelding's last one was very good. Second fastest of the day. With 'blinkers-on' this gelding should be very competitive. SLEW'S JOY - Nice return on investment for this rider and conditioner duo. Moger drops him down to this class. You don't need too much more from the pp lines to figure that this horse is in a good spot at this level. HOGMANAY (IRE) - This gelding is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Mathis.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 ATKINS (ML=2/1), #3 IN HONOR OF AUTISM (ML=3/1), #5 CHICKNFINGERFRIDAY (ML=5/1),

ATKINS - I think this probable favorite needs this race under his belt to start getting back into shape. Somewhat easily forgotten speed figure last race out at Ellis Park at 6 furlongs. Don't believe this pony will improve too much in today's event. Will probably be far back with much too much to do down the stretch. IN HONOR OF AUTISM - This questionable contender didn't go to the lead and didn't close down the lane last time he ran. Doubtful that the speed fig he registered on Oct 28th will hold up in this affair. CHICKNFINGERFRIDAY - This stretch-runner will probably be rolling down the lane much too late to make an impression in this race. Tough to play at 5/1 odds after the two most recent efforts.

TAG TEAM - Got some betting action in first race on Oct 21st at Woodbine, but finished fourth. Has a shot in today's race. Kimura rode this racer for the first time last out and comes right back in today's contest. Filly will add blinkers to the equipment package today. That often leads to an improved performance. MONEY BEETS - Strong return on investment for this rider and conditioner duo.

My choice here is GENERAL LEDGER. Shows signs of the look of a lucrative play, averaging a solid 83 Equibase Speed Figure which is one of the best in this group of horses in this race. Is a solid contender - given the 89 Equibase Speed Figure from his most recent race. Decent selection to take this race going in a dirt sprint. SAINT NO MORE - Looks like a solid candidate for the exotics. Ought to be given a chance here on the basis of the figures in the speed department alone. BIG EFFECT - Conditioner boasts solid win figs at this distance and surface. Had one of the strongest speed figures of this field in his last contest.

SERENDIPITY COCO - The morning line odds on this filly are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of trainer Padilla. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. This animal wins a lot of dough per race around the track. Uppermost in this race. Ran a lackluster race at Remington Park last out. Racing without the slop puts this filly at the top of my contenders list. GRACE THE LADY - Using this jockey/conditioner combination is a smart choice. Coming off a fourth place finish at Remington Park, some may pass this horse. I'm not. She just missed hitting the show spot, and has pretty good morning line odds today. TWO HANDS FULL - Filly took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape.

Vulnerable Contenders: #11 GREEN LIGHT GIRL (ML=3/1), #6 CAT TALE SKY (ML=4/1), #1 TOM'S GIRL (ML=8/1),

GREEN LIGHT GIRL - A pattern of decreasing speed ratings 67/64/55 for this mount. The lack of works has to make one concerned despite the nice performance in the last race. CAT TALE SKY - If you keep selecting these kind of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be frustrated often. This filly earned a speed figure in her last affair which probably isn't good enough in today's event. TOM'S GIRL - Usually I need a sprinter to have some recent success in short distance affairs in order to back her.

He has respectable class ratings, averaging 89, and has to be given consideration for this event.

BARAYE - Filly had the second fastest workout of the day prepping for this. If this filly gets out of the gate cleanly, she'll be tough to catch. Ward is solid in turf sprints. This horse should have no rationalizations if she doesn't win. Registered a nice turf figure on September 2nd at Saratoga. A repeat in this race, and this one has a great shot to win. TWO SIP SALLY - Jockey hops back on after getting to know the magnificent animal by riding last time around the track. That's always a good thing. Entered a Maiden Special race at Keeneland last time out and raced on the soft turf finishing fourth. I'd expect a better race in this race.

Earned a most unsatisfactory rating in the last race in a Maiden Special race on October 6th. Not probable to see an improved performance off of that number. TWIRL AROUND - No accomplishments for this vulnerable equine in a sprint event over the last couple months tells me that this filly is in a tough spot SHORE WAR - Doubtful that the speed rating she registered on October 19th will be enough in this race.
