Florida -7 over LSU
Tim Tebow or not this game is all about defense. Florida is better in every phase of the game and what a better story then Tebow coming back and lighting up the scoreboard. This is a guy that got a concussion two weeks ago. At such a young age he clearly will be OK. Look for the Florida Defense to prove why they are the #1 team in the nation. Look for the Gators to roll. Take Florida.

40-Dime SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS ... As I told you last week, I certainly am not sold on the Wildcats, and just like last week against Alabama, I don't believe they have the personnel to hang with South Carolina after watching them get dismantled at home by Florida, 41-7, two weeks ago and 38-20 last week by the Crimson Tide.
After winning three straight to crack the Top 25, South Carolina is in the perfect spot to keep the momentum alive by taking on a team its dominated over the years.
How about a combined 25-0 edge in my favor with this pick.
The 25th-ranked Gamecocks are 9-0 the last nine meetings with UK, while coach Steve Spurrier is a perfect 16-0 against the 'Cats.
Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia replaced a struggling Chris Smelley and led South Carolina back from a fourth-quarter deficit with two scoring drives, including a 7-yard touchdown strike to Weslye Saunders with 7:08 left for a 24-17 come-from-behind win.
This year Garcia has been stellar, as he comes in having thrown six touchdowns against one interception over his last four games. He completed 13 of 19 passes for 132 yards and two scores last week.
Now he gets a chance to pick apart a Kentucky defense that ranks 107th against the rush, 79th against the scoreboard and 61st overall. Even worse for Kentucky, it could be without starting cornerbacks Trevard Lindley and Paul Warford. Lindley's streak of 43 straight starts will come to an end thanks to an ankle injury while Warford is listed as day-to-day with a strained quad.
The Wildcats can't compete with the 93rd ranked offense in the nation. They certainly can't throw the football, they can't score and their rushing game is suspect at best.
The Wildcats have lost 19 straight road games to ranked SEC opponents, while they're 2-7 ATS the last nine times they've played the 'Cocks. They're on further ATS slides of 1-4 against winning teams, 1-5 on grass, 0-4 in October, 0-4 in SEC play and 2-5 overall.
Game: Philadelphia at Colorado (9:30 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Colorado -130 (moneyline) (risk 3 to win 2.3)
The Colorado Rockies head home after getting the game they wanted and erasing the Phillies home-field advantage. The series is now a best of three with the next two in Colorado. Jason Hammel began the season in the pen and struggled in his transition to becoming a starter as the Rockies dropped four of his first five starts. The Rockies have since gone 17-9 in his last 26 starts, and that includes a stellar 10-2 mark at home. Pedro Martinez supplied some much needed quality innings down the stretch for the Phillies, but he no longer possesses the dominant stuff he once had. Martinez did not pitch well on the road where he had a 5.66 ERA. This is going to be a very difficult spot for Martinez, who is not a fan of cold weather and with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees, he is not going to fare well. I will go with Colorado in this one.
Game: Philadelphia at Colorado (9:35 PM Eastern)
Pick: 3 units on Colorado -1.5 runs +160 (runline) (risk 3 to win 4.8)
The Rockies have been the best team in baseball over the last 2/3 of the season, and at home they have been especially tough going 26-9 in their last 35 games. They also have Jason Hammel on the mound who has been their best pitcher at home, leading the Rockies to a 10-2 mark in his last 12 home starts. Pedro Martinez did pitch well at home for the Phil's but his task on the road tonight will be a significant challenge. He has always expressed his distaste for pitching in cold weather, so facing 30 degree temperatures will not suit him, especially since his road success has not been much as he has a 5.66 ERA away from Philadelphia. The Rockies get the call on the runline.
