Analysis: This is the part where I ellude to my daily video.. I really think Chris Tillman has the capability of being an extremely effective major league pitcher. Aside from a terrible start against Boston, he's been solid so far this season, including a good outing against the Yankees, and an outing where he only gave up two solo shots against Toronto (but who hasn't done that this year, right?!). I like this kids stuff, he throws 95mph heat, and has decent breaking stuff. He's a major league pitcher, and his ERA does not represent his talent accurately, in my opinion. This Giants team is definitely dangerous at home, but I like Tillman, and i think he can give us 7 strong tonight.

On the other side, Sanchez is a guy that is extremely inconsistent, but if there is one thing we know it's that he's money at home. He's got a 2.31 ERA at home this year, and both righties and lefties are hitting sub 0.200 against him. This Baltimore squad is pretty pood offensively as it is, especially on the road, so how do you think they'll fair against a guy who allows a sub 0.200 batting average?! Not good. Obviously, walks are the issue with Sanchez, but Baltimore is second worst in the major league at taking walks.

I really like our starters here, and obviously the concern is both teams' bullpens. That alone is enough to keep this play semi-small. But keep in mind San Francisco is a top 10 bullpen in the majors, and Baltimore is actually not as bad as people assume. They've got a better bullpen ERA than a first place team like Cincinnati, in fact.

This all comes down to Chris Tillman being undervalued. The kid has talent, and he'll keep the runs off the board. That simple. 1.5 unit play on the UNDER

For a number of different reasons I believe the value in this contest is on the "over"

Shaun Marcum goes for the visitors; Marcum allowed seven earned runs on ten hits in a season low four innings on Wednesday in Tampa Bay.

The loss dropped his record to 5-3 with a 3.38 ERA.

Keep in mind that Toronto has seen the total go "over" the number in 8 of its last 12 on the road.

In the other dugout: Jon Garland goes for the home side; Garland is 0-1 with a 10.38 ERA in two career starts on three days rest; he's 6-4 on the year with a 2.81 ERA.

Remember, San Diego has in fact seen the total go "over" the number in four of five inter-league contests this season.

Bottom line: Toronto is coming off a 10-3 loss in Colorado and will be looking to break out of a recent slump at the plate.

San Diego will also look to improve in front of the home town crowd as it is coming off a 4-2 loss to the Padres.

This number is a little low; play on the OVER!
