Tuesday's Card
20 Dime play on St. Louis and Kyle Lohse over Los Angeles and Clayton Kershaw. Specify both scheduled starting pitchers in the contest. The Cardinals are currently a +105 underdog as I release this play at 10:00 AM Pacific.
20 Dime play on Oakland and Brandon McCarthy against New York and Bartelo Colon. Again, note both starters. The A's are currently +185.
20 Dime Play on Detroit and Brad Penny over Tampa Bay and David Price. The Tigers are currently +180 in Vegas and offshore.
4-Unit Play. #657. Take New York +6.5 over Phoenix (Tuesday @ 10pm est).
New York has looked good this year overall and they have been a decent underdog as well in general. This is a team that comes off a tight 1 point loss to Seattle on the road where they fell just short but covered the seven point underdog impasse, and has revenge from a 7 point loss at home to Phoenix when they fell short 84-91. That revenge tacked on with coming off a loss, should provide them with the motivation to do well and stay tight in this game. Diana Taurasi is coming off a back injury and she will likely be probable, but I've always had a theory that a team never does well when their superstar returns to the lineup or when a major trade occurs and a new player is added to the squad they never cover (i.e. when Lebron/Bosh came to the Heat, I faded them in the 1st game against the Celtics, or 'Melo to New York or Iverson to the Nuggets for that matter). The same can be said about teams covering spreads when their stars are not on the floor or out with an injury such as the Lakers covering when Kobe is out, or the Bulls covering consistently when Jordan is out, or even when Mercury covering when Diana was out recently in back to back games. Now, that Diana is back, look for this team's flow to be a bit hampered as well and I can see the Liberty doing well defensively today to possibly win this game outright or stay within the 6.5.
