“1 UNIT” BASEBALL INTANGIBLE SIDE (Indians -110 at home versus White Sox in a 7:05 eastern start-------Humber versus Gomez): Despite having key trade deadline acquisition Ubaldo Jiminez on the mound yesterday, the Indians lost an 8-4 contest at home which dropped them one-game behind the White Sox for second-place in the American League Central division. According to the manager Cleveland (76-78) has two goals with one of them finishing in the #2 divisional position and the other getting above the .500 mark which would be a boon for this once proud franchise. The good news for the Indians is that infielder Asdrubal Cabrera (back) is slated to return after sitting out the last couple of days due to injury. In his last thirteen games on the field Cabrera has been sizzling at the plate (8-for-13) and for the entire campaign has already set career-highs in a host of statistical categories (24 HR, 87 RBI, 85 runs scored). Cabrera is just two shy of setting an all-time single season record for hits so his expected return to the lineup cannot be understated. One can assume that the Indians would like nothing better than to wrap up this series with a victory since the White Sox long term have given them fits (2-10) on their own homefield. As for Chicago after tonight they will be wrapping up the regular season at home in what could be the final games with the fiery Ozzie Guillen as manager. The White Sox immediately following a game where the offense put 8+ runs on the scoreboard have struggled (7-15) and I expect that pattern to continue this evening
1-0 Last Night (+1.93 Units)Today we have 3 Games.
Yanks +133 (1 Unit) - The line keeps increasing as everyone thinks the Yanks and Colon will take a game off. A newcomer Lefty doesn't bode well going against the Yanks in Yankee Stadium. Keeping it small just in case.
Giants -124 (2 Units) - Line is moving fast as lots of folks jumping on the Giants. Bumgarner is 3-0 with a 1.33 ERA in his last 3 games. Kuroda hasn't been bad but San Fran is in a must win situation if they want to make the postseason.
Cincinatti Bearcats -7 (3 Units) - Line dropped to -7 as of this post. The public is split but dissecting the numbers shows us that Cincinatti is clearly the better team. They dropped their first big test against a very good Tenn Volunteers team. Playing at home is the reason laying -7 points seems like a no brainer.
