Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox:
The Royals took the first game of the series and now have won 9 of their last 11. That’s impressive considering KC has been out of the playoff picture for months. The White Sox have lost interest in the season and are just playing it out. John Danks is 7-12 on the year. Our money is on the team that wants to win.
The Mariners are a bad team with a solid pitcher on the mound with Felix Hernandez getting the start, but their track record on the road shows just 30-49 for the season. Hernandez is also not pitching well over his last two starts allowing 9 runs in just 12 innings of work. The Rangers have had his number all season long as they are a perfect 3-0 against him. Alexi Ogando has certainly matched what Hernandez has done by logging a 13-8 mark with a 3.57 ERA on the season. So while the pitching matchup is pretty even, all the rest of the elements here belong to Texas, so at even odds that is plenty of value. The M's are just 4-9 in Hernandez' last 13 starts vs. a winning team and a putrid 8-23 in their last 31 vs. a right-hand starter. Texas gets the call.
