                  NORTHWESTERN +7 over Michigan SportsInteraction
7:00 PM EST. The Wolverines have won five in a row and find themselves ranked #12 in the nation. That liberal ranking provides us with a pretty sweet opportunity to take advantage of. Michigan has beaten Western Michigan, Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State and Minnesota. That’s four cupcakes and one strong club in the Irish. Against Notre Dame, only a series of bizarre occurrences allowed the Wolverines to win. They were dominated and probably should’ve lost that game by 21 or more. With last week's debacle at Illinois, Northwestern is now 2-4 under Pat Fitzgerald in games it has led by 17 points. What was already a huge home game against Michigan is now shaping up as a season definer for the Wildcats. This evening’s sellout is the first Northwestern home game with the students on campus and is being given unprecedented treatment by the Big Ten Network. It’s a huge game against a ranked and undefeated team that is not near as good as advertised. Denard Robinson will get his, but this is a young Michigan team playing its first road game, and Dan Persa and Northwestern match up well across the board. This senior-laden Northwestern group may be looking at the program's last good shot at toppling Michigan for several years. The Cats have their backs against the wall and will make the most of the opportunity. Also note that the Wolverines have a massive game against the Spartans next week. Play: #372 Northwestern +7 +100 (Risking 2 units).

TEXAS TECH +9½ over Texas A&M PINNACLE
7:00 PM EST. After back-to-back second-half collapses, it's time to put the Aggies on bubble-burst watch. Mike Sherman has rallied teams off three-game losing streaks in each of his first three years, and he'll probably have to do it again after this week. The demoralized Aggies head to the Llano as road favorites to continue an unpleasant farewell tour of the Big 12. Waiting for them is an undefeated Texas Tech team that can't wait to get a piece of its departing rival. Tech has mostly looked lost on defense this season, but even if Christine Michael and Cyrus Gray can't be stopped, the Red Raiders are well equipped to shoot it out. Texas Tech offensive coordinator Neal Brown's tempo attack will take its toll on an already-overworked A&M defense that is coming off losses to ranked Oklahoma St and Arkansas and that has the ranked Baylor Bears on deck next week. These games against quality clubs take its toll and so does losing to them. Tech has barely broken a sweat in four wins with its toughest opponent being Kansas. They’re not battle tested like the Aggies but they’re a whole lot fresher. Tech gets a true test today and we’ll get to see how good this host really is or isn’t. Overlay. Play: #382 Texas Tech +9½ (Risking 2.1 units to win 2).

Saturday 15 Dime Play on Tennessee as the home underdog tontght against Georgia. As I release this selectiaon at 6:00 PM Pacific on Friday evening, the Vols are +2 1/2 at the majornty of sportsbooks both in Vegas and offshore. This is one of those cases where I would go ahead and buy up the 1/2 point on Tennessee as insurance, making the Vols a +3 point dog. And if this line moves to +3, I'd still buy the hook up to +3 1/2.

The Lions look to take advantage of a Calgary team that is coming off a 40-3 win over Saskatchewan last week and is 3-8-1 ATS in its last 12 games following a SU victory. BC is the pick (-3 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has the Lions favored by 13. Dunkel Pick: BC (-3 1/2). Here are all of this week's CFL picks.

Pitt -7 Over Rutgers 20 Dimes
"I felt we really executed that Pitt offense, the high-octane offense that we have here. We finally did it." --Pitt head coach Todd Graham's remarks after they beat 16th ranked South Florida.

Ever since the loss at Iowa, Pitt is a team that has improved significantly on both sides of the ball. Last week against South Florida, the Panthers put up 523 yards of total offense which attributed to 44 points. Pitt running back Ray Graham finished the day with 226 rushing yards and 42 yards receiving, while Pitt quarterback Tino Sunseri went 22 of 33 for 216 yards and 0 INT's.
Defensively, the Panthers made major strides as well. Two weeks ago they held Notre Dame to 15 points, and last week they held South Florida, who was averaging 45 points per game, to only 17.
My only concern for Pitt in this match up is that Rutgers likes to blitz early and often. If Sunseri can get rid of the ball quickly and make good decisions, I think Pitt will not only have success on the ground but through the air as well.
                                Prediction: 37-20 Pitt

Iowa +4.5 Over Penn St. 10 Dimes

Which quarterback will the Joe Pa go with today...or does it even matter?

I really have no idea why Penn State is giving so many points in this match up. Here is three reasons why Iowa will not only cover but win this game. 1. Penn State's offense is atrocious. The Nit's managed to score a measly 16 points last week against Indiana, and two weeks prior they struggled to put up 14 on Temple. 2. Iowa has a recipe for success every year against Penn State. The past nine contests, Iowa has won eight of them including a 24-3 victory last year. 3. Iowa still has a good offense. In their last three games, the Hawkeyes have averaged over 40 points per game and quarterback James Vandenberg has thrown for 876 yards with 8 touchdowns and only 1 INT during that stretch.
                                Prediction: 20-17 Iowa

                                Additional Selection:

Oklahoma -10.5 Over Texas 10 Dimes
