Javier Assad is working his way back from injury and hasn't lasted past the 4th inning in 4 of his last 5 starts. Cleveland is going to be giving Matthew Boyd his first start of the season, and he won't last long either. Boyd is 44-67 with a 4.94 ERA lifetime in the big leagues. Take the OVER.

PLAY ON: Reds -125
I'm betting the Reds -125 on the money line in Tuesday's home game against the Cardinals. Cincinnati has won their last 2, including a 6-1 win over St Louis in Monday's opener. Reds should be in line for another comfortable win today. Cincinnati has a big edge on the mound with Hunter Greene facing off against Erick Fedde. Green has a 1.12 ERA over his last 5 starts, giving up just 4 ER in 32 innings. Fedde has allowed 11 ER in his last 4 starts (20 1/3 innings). Tough to keep this Reds lineup in check at home. Give me Cincinnati -125!

Houstons been rolling of late, and are on a 6 game win streak ,but their starter today Kikuchi (Traded by Blue Jays Jul 29th) has not been, as is evident by recording a 6.75 ERA in his last 10 trips the hill in a starting capacity. He has allowed four runs or more in six of his last eight starts overall and looks to be cannon fodder for the Rays in this spot play. Yes, I know the Rays are not a consistent offensive threat, but today Im betting they go above their season averages. Meanwhile, the Rays despite of sending out a pitcher (Baz) who was injured for the first half of this season, and still looking for his first win , entering this game , is viable option here today as he is backed by ALs top bullpen since the beginning July with a 2.83 ERA ( entering this weeks play ) Note: Baz allowed two runs and six hits in 5 1/3 innings back on Aug. 2 vs the Astros ( no decision).
There is enough value here for me to recommend we take the home underdog this Tuesday evening.

Minnesota took the opener of a crucial 3 game se to keep pace with Cleveland and create more separation between them and the Royals. We’re on the Twins to take another here as they send out rookie Zebby Matthews. He owned a 2.60 ERA in triple a and had a ridiculous 114-7 K:BB ratio over 97 innings. Lugo counters and he’s looked more and more human over his lasted few outings. The Red Sox got him for 4 runs last time out and this Twins offense is extremely tough to deal with. They have depth and power in the lineup and they can come at you so quickly like they did on Monday with their 6 run inning. This is a nice spot for the Twins again to continue to create separation with the Royals. My daily free plays are meant to be 5* bankroll plays.
