Dean has made some changed to his ground game though, enough to allow him to win ADCC 2011 in something of a shock. He has really started going after leg locks. I would like to see him get 1 more run in MMA.

I never saw the first one. I guess I have to see it now to catch up, so I can prepare for some Van Dammage!

Srs, I was never a big fan, although I did enjoy the classics like Bloodsport of course.

There was a time in my childhood when I probably would've called him my favorite actor. And even though he has a history of making terrible decisions and has been disappointing me for most of the past 15 years, I still make it a point to keep up with him and watch whatever it is that he puts out.

Plus, this is Van Damme back on the BIG SCREEN which, unless you count JCVD which was only released in a small handful or indie theaters or Kung Fu Panda 2, this is the first time that's happened since Universal Soldier: The Return in 1999.

"At a party in my home in Miami in 1997, Van Damme was tired of Seagal claiming he could kick his ass so he offered Seagal outside into my back yard. Van Damme was too strong. Seagal wanted none of it."

Stallone is a poser. I believe nothing he says.

I am sure that 6'5" 260 pound Seagal was terrified of the 5'9" 180 pound Van Damme.

Anyway, who cares, I just preferred his Seagal's stylings in the movies when I was a kid, I dont' actually think either one of them are actual fighters that can fight (and I knew that even as a 12 year old).

                      1. Damn, I thought you were joking when you said you preferred Seagal. If you're being serious, then that makes you a homo.

                      2. Van Damme does actually have a legit kickboxing record so I imagine that, at least when he was in his prime, he had some legit skills. I've heard that Seagal will also fuck you up.

I always found Van Damme's movies fighting style to be too much... just one punch. I like the combos that Seagal threw. But I am not a fan of either one, nor was I ever. If I had to pick one though for early 90's movies, I preferred Seagal. Best of the Best FTW though.

I've heard Seagal knows that Jailhouse Rock bullshit so I'm not sure how worried he would be about someone who was so much smaller than him, especially since Seagal has some good hand speed on him with the Aikido though I don't if it has any real world application.

                              Van Damme's kickboxing record. . .

Despite what people think he was a fighter first, then an actor. He also had almost 50 semi-contact (light contact) bouts before going into kickboxing.

                                Fuck that shit.

Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Double Impact and even The Quest were better than anything Seagal has ever done.
