That is about the only thing that would make sense. I would actually like to see a Robin remake, since he is always comes out pretty damn gay in any movie or television attempts at his character.

      Bale is done.

And they may very well have introduced him as Robin as a nod to the comics. It doesn't necessarily mean he will literally be Robin. After all, at the end of the movie Commissioner Gordon was looking at the restored bat signal, which leads one to believe that the Batman character will still be around.

Of course I don't know what they have planned, but my guess is that JGL steps right into Batman's shoes.

I really never read comics, but wouldn't that be quite the bastardization of the Batman story? I mean, it isn't like Green Lantern where there are more than one... Batman is always Bruce Wayne right?

At this point, I am rooting for "Robin: The Movie" with a cameo from Bale. That is the best outcome. Or they just retire it with a strange ending, which may be better. I do like Joseph Gordon Levitt though, I think he is one of the more promising actors to emerge in the last few years (I know he has been around a while, but really started gaining steam about 5 years ago).

How many times are franchises going to do that, though. Batman has been rebooted like three times already. Spider-man has been rebooted. X-Men has kind of been rebooted.

Should it be the new thing to just start from scratch every few years when the star changes?

I mean, eventually that might be necessary, but let's let this incarnation play out across more than three films.

Well I think we're clearly in movie world here, but the answer is auto-pilot.

Eh, I would rather see a little break and then reboot in like 2018. The last Batman series was good for 2 movies (Keaton), the rest were terrible IMO. Then they left it alone for about 10 years and tried again. That's how I like it.

As for auto-pilot-- I was distracted by the old people talking in the theater, maybe there was some hint that Bruce Wayne fixed the autopilot... but I missed that. Or was it like, everything in the movie says autopilot doesn't work- psych, it works!

It would definitely be a different twist on things, but it just seems to me to be where they're headed with all the talk about Batman being a symbol . . . the man is not important. Though they also talked a lot about the death of Batman and clearly the end of the movie represents the death of the symbol and of the character. So I guess it's a little confusing really and maybe Levitt really will be Robin.

I actually wouldn't mind a new interpretation of the Robin character. I always thought Robin was cool when I was a kid.

Yeah, he's awesome. I like how he went the indie route for a while and made a lot of non-Hollywood movies. If you ever get a chance to see Brick, check it out. It's kind of a weird movie, but worth watching in my opinion.

The helicopter was on auto-pilot. The patch to fix the auto-pilot had been done weeks ago.

There was a brief dialogue exchange that indicated he may have gotten it fixed.

I must have missed that part. I did go to pee like 3 times.

Im with you on that. He was great in 100 days of summer, and loved him in Inception too.

BTW, I just realized that we just spoiled the fuck out of that movie.

Yeah, I first started paying attention to him after I saw "The Lookout", which he was really good in.

He pulled off a zero gravity gift wrap choke in Inception, so he is good by me.

I wasn't going to, I was intentionally vague, but then luke broke out the spoiler, so I just went with it.

Bane's voice was unintentional comedy gold btw.

It took me a bit to decide whether I liked it or not and I decided that I did.
