I find that I also have a hard time giving a fuck about what other people say or think or are going through, but I do genuinely feel that I SHOULD care. Living life in a world where people are just going around and being cynical and only caring about themselves seems like a really shitty world to me. So even if I have to fake it until I make, I do think it's important to try.

I do too, but I just think that most of the world cares about or finds painful is for gays and pussies.

Well, I just meant because the cancer girl was there, and she was all puffy and in a wheelchair. She can't remember her kid's names (yet she did know me). I am not preoccupied with death at all... i just meant that the girl is expected to die any day.

I get that, I just had someone I know die from breast cancer. But I don't know how to act in those situations and neither does anybody else. So they just talk and make jokes.

I do hate the whole 'hero' thing and putting up the sick person on a pedestal. Not that it isn't or can't be true, but how is it that these people are ALWAYS the strongest, bestest people ever. People just want to live their life from one cliche to the next, I think sometimes.

I am pretty excited for the season to near its end so I can start watching it. It is a good show, probably the best basic cable show ever IMO.

Yeah, she is done, she is going to die. So she (or more accurately her friends that wanted to hold her up as a hero) did this benefit for others with the same disease. She really is a strong person and I admire how she has dealt with the whole thing tbh (not complaining or making a big show about it). This was basically her funeral while she was alive... and all of her husbands friends were getting pretty drunk and acting like it was a party. I ran into a guy I never liked and he is still a fuckwad after 20 years, and I actually considered getting into a fight in the parking lot.

No. My wife loves my quirks. She laughs when I do stupid shit, like I said, I have always been like this somewhat... it is just more obvious lately and I give a shit less every day.

I just meant old and alone, except the wife, who will outlive me by 30 years. IMO a guy friend is a lot different than a wife or GF. I like to do stuff with my wife a lot, and more than most guys I think. But I definitely need to be around male friends some too.

Yeah, I watched the first 5 seasons a couple months ago (actually after asking IWS what I should watch next). I don't like to wait week to week.

I decided to stick with True Blood for another season. So I just started Season 3, it will take me a month or so to finish it, so I will need to find something after that
