Yes. The reason I mentioned it is a lot of people considered Jds to be a pure kickboxing champion. As far as I can tell he has only been training striking for about five years. While he has done well in the UFC it has been exclusively with his striking. On top of that he success has been against guys who have mediocre or poor striking ability. Overeem has been competing against the very best strikers in the world for those same five years. He has done well too. To say Jds is the better striker doesn't make sense to me. There isn't evidence to support it..1 unit = 300 $Comment

I get what your saying but i will contend it slightly. Fabricios striking has been looking really good lately. On top of that overeem was probably very worried about getting tapped by him so he fought cautiously. I know jds dropped him but who would be suprised if fabricio and jds fought today and the match was much closer? I think it would be. He looked fantastic against roy.1 unit = 300 $Comment

It's a tough fight to call.
Will bigfoot come to strike only? Will he try to take Nelson down? Will he be able to implement the gameplan he used against Arlovski?
Roy's problem is he has two things he seems to like to do: get a body lock, trip, get the TD, stay on top. Or just throw a right hand over and over again. He doesn't put combinations together well, and I don't see him giving him the same problems as Cormier did on the feet. Silva will probably be able to keep him at bay with his gigantism and maybe pick Nelson apart..but not sure if Silva is quick enough for that.Comment

I think Silva will just be too big, too strong, and probably also too skilled. He's a solid striker and good grappler.
The main problem I see for Silva is that he has a tendency to get hit and he often doesn't react well when it happens. Mike Kyle dropped him big time and Cormier knocked him out.
I like Silva at -200 or better.I heart cockComment
