But yeah, current Vitor is best Vitor. I do think he's looked good lately because of some favorable matchups though. Rockhold and Bisping were perfect for him. He's running out of good matchups at MW; the remaining good ones I see are Philippou, Stann, Wandy, Leben, and Le, and most of those guys are going to be considered beneath him now. Weidman and Anderson would both wreck him. Vitor has probably been taking PED's most of his athletic career. All those guys with TRT medical exemptions are probably able to get it because early drug abuse wrecked their bodies' ability to produce testosterone naturally.
Speaking of Anderson, there's another guy who is even older than Vitor (38 to 36) and I think is possibly at the peak of his ability right now. They actually had some similar career tracks: Decent but not great showings in Pride, then turning their careers around in Cage Rage to emerge with possibly their strongest outings late in their careers in the UFC.
