Hopefully it will be like Machida/Shogun, where the first fight sucks balls and the rematch was awesome.

I was really hoping for more in that fight, but I know what you're saying. I imagine this one will look different. I think BJ's going to be more aggressive.

^^ I still think BJ is the most skilled fighter on the planet. If he comes to fight, no one can beat him. He is the best striker and the best grappler in his division. No one could beat him in a boxing match, no one could beat him in a grappling match. AND he has the best takedown defense in the division (in any division, except GSP). But he gasses. I actually think he gassed out in the Abu Dhabi heat... everyone gassed that night. Silva gassed also. Renzo gassed out.

I cannot imagine any LW stopping him (really, it is hard to imagine how anyone stops him without seriously some serious fatigue first).

I thought Toney was a lot bigger than Randy. He doesn't even have that. Toney is about t o catch a humiliating ass whupping (well, it would be humiliating to most of us, Toney will complain when the ref pulls Randy off and continue to talk).

I imagine there are boxing fans that have to care about this. But I think they're staying away because they probably understand that Couture winning is 90% likely.

I'll be honest I check out alot of boxing sites/forums and I havent seen a hardly anyone that cares about the fight. I think alot of it is every boxing fan knows Toney was a washed up boxer 4 years ago.

Toney is only around 5'9" and he might only outweigh Couture by 10 pounds and thats all belly fat

I am excited for Couture/Toney fight... I am excited for Maia/Miranda. I like BJ a lot, I like Frankie a lot. But I damn near fell asleep during the last fight, so I am not too psyched about the rematch. Hopefully it will be like Machida/Shogun, where the first fight sucks balls and the rematch was awesome.

Wow. The BJJ scientist didn't like some standup fights. Big surprise. Machida Shogun was awesome.

I am watching the pre fight press conference right now, Gray Maynard sucks with the media. Dana White is hoping that Maynard never becomes champ, lol.

I don't like fights where there is not a lot of action, and the same thing keeps happening over and over. It has nothing to do with the fact that they were striking battles.

Machida/Shogun I was crap. So crappy that Shogun almost won the fight by kicking a guy in the leg a lot. Penn/Edgar was better IMO, but still sucky. BJ just stood there and threw a jab about every 30 seconds for the last 15 minutes of the fight.

Here are some grappling oriented fights I fast forward: The first 4 or 5 fights Rahad had in the UFC, Sonnen/ Filho I, Maynard/Edgar (though Edgar was doing some pretty nice guard maintanence work- Maynard's strategy was unbearable).

I can endure a chess match for 10 minutes, but not for 25.

The last thing I want to see is 5 rounds of 2 guys waiting to make a move.

I think it's a different situation. Machida and Shogun were in constant motion. It's not like they just sat there and stared at each other.
