Well, that's the domestic take. It made $133M worldwide.

But you're right that that's probably not what Disney was hoping for and I'm a little surprised by it, too. I really did enjoy it, so in my opinion people are missing out.

One interesting thing to note that is that MOST movies don't recoup production and advertising costs during their theatrical run. Ticket sales are just one element. There's also DVD and PPV sales, TV rights, and merchandising (Prince of Persia lunchboxes in the house).

Anyone play poker? My brother is in 5th place after day one in event 5 in the World Series of Poker in Vegas . Theres 223 left 216 pay and 216th gets $2800. First place is $515,000

That is awesome. I used to play poker A LOT. But the nature of that tournament is that he could be busted by tomorrow. I don't watch it anymore (I watched religiously for several years though).

The overall winner only gets $515k? Is it the main event? Or some other smaller series? A few years ago, they were getting several million... I guess I am not the only person that stopped playing. It has really gone down in popularity.

There are 40 events/tournaments in the World Series of Poker it not just the big tournament you see on tv. This is event 5 which is a 1500 buy in and has 2100 people.

The main event is a 10,000 buy in and will have 7,000-10,000 people so it'll pay around 7-10 million for first place. The tournament he's is has 1/5th of the people and costs 1/7th of the price of the main event thats the pay differnce

I thought play resumed at 6:30 pm eastern but I'm wrong he just said it starts up at 5:30 pm which is in ten minutes

He ended up winning 120k in profit last year.

This year he's winning more in cash games than tournaments
