Maybe so, but considering that plenty of fighters have grabbed the fence without getting a point deduction, you have to consider the fairness of the situation. Most rounds are won or lost because of one point. Was the fence grab worth an entire point deduction or should he have been warned first? What's the precedent?

He was warned sternly once before that for sure, maybe twice.

For the record, Jardine would beat Tito too.
Let's not get it twisted homie. I agree he won't do well now, but Chuck beat his fair share of strikers. Pele, Bustamante, Overeem, Mezger, Vitor, Wanderlei.

Leben got paid. I'm glad to see it. I think he's a cool cat.

I guess Dana's still taking care of the TUF 1 guys that have been able to survive this long.

Totally justified. When someone is running away after getting caught with a monster punch and can't even stay on his feet to do that he's done. The only thing that would have happened if the fight continued would have been Leben stuffing takedowns and probably pounding Simpson out.

Anytime you pull a Ric Flair and start running and flop on your face, thats a good stoppage.

It wasn't my favorite stoppage, but I was fine with it. Then again I wanted Leben to win so who knows.

                          Bye Jardine

The "Dean of Mean" has left the building. After suffering his fourth consecutive loss at The Ultimate Fighter 11 finale this past weekend, Keith Jardine has been cut from the UFC. Mike Chiappetta of MMAFighting.com first reported about the contract being terminated.
"It sucks," UFC president Dana White told MMAFighting.com. "I have nothing but respect for him and I hope to see him back soon." Jardine has seen 13 fights inside the UFC Octagon and has become a popular face for MMA. He first jumped into the UFC scene back in 2005 on The Ultimate Fighter and has had many ups and down since then. Coming into last Saturday's match up with Matt Hamill, it was unknown if he would be cut facing a loss. Saturday's match went to decision with Hamill coming out on top and it was decided that it would be the last of Jardine we see for a while.
With Jardine being evicted from the cage, he will have more time now to focus on his MMA game as well as his new gym in Albuquerque, Mean1 MMA and Fitness. Jardine has the potential to come back to the UFC and show everyone what he is made of, but may get picked up by another organization in the mean time. The light heavyweight fighter has yet to make a statement regarding his departure, with his last posting on his website saying "I've gotten a lot of support from fans after this fight. Thank you. Thanks to all of my teammates who have helped me prepare. Matt is a real tough guy and I have a lot of respect for him. I feel that I won that fight though. I'm not whining here because you can't leave a close fight to the judges. I do think that Herb was wrong with the point deduction and too often he has too much influence in the outcome of his fights. All I can do is go back to work and that's what I'm going to do. Thanks everyone!"

Not surprising. Hopefully he can get a few wins and get back to the UFC.

At this point he should be happy with A win .I think he needs to retire. When you get out striked by a wrestler you got major problems
