Edman, one thing I definitely disagree with you on is that Frankie's and Maynard's striking is on the same level. I think Frankie, while he may lack power, is a much more efficient boxer than Gray is. If Frankie can keep this on the feet, I definitely think he wins. In fact, that should be the game plan: Stuff takedowns, dance around, and box Gray's ears off.

I will probably bet on Daniel Roberts. You have money on him right Scientist? Can you break down to me what you think?

I have a unit on Roberts. Soto is basically a wrestler/bjj guy. He is probably stronger that Roberts. Roberts is also a wrestler/bjj guy. Soto has a high rank in bjj (brown) under Pelligrino... but Roberts has actually some stuff in bjj and submission grappling, although he is only a purple belt in the gi. Roberts has a better wrestling predigree to though, he was an NAIA all american, which doesn't mean a whole lot, but it does at least mean he has solid wrestling, probably better than Soto's.

Last time Soto got outwrestled, he cuaght a beating. Riddle was dominating him. I think Roberts has an edge in wrestling and a submission edge. Though I think Soto has a better positional game.

Strand up is a wash, maybe small edge to the quicker Roberts.


Alll said, the line says it is a coin flip. I think Roberts is being undervalued again as I think he is better everywhere. No one remembers Roberts because the only exposure he every gets is being KOd by Doomsday. But he was winning that fight up until Doomsday flattened him.

I agree that Gray hits harder. But Edgar's faster. And he floats like a butterfly. And he hurt Veach standing so we know he at least has the potential to do so.

I think on the feet he'll frustrate Gray, just like he did to Sherk and just like he did to BJ.

As for the wrestling, I would probably still have to give the edge there to Gray, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised to see Edgar turn the tables on him. It all depends on how much both guys have improved in that regard since their first meeting.

At the current odds, I'm willing to bet that Edgar can win this. If the odds were reversed, I'd probably be on Gray.
