This thread brings the lulz.
I do like how it took MMA_scientist about three posts to go from calling people talking about guys' physiques gay to joining in.Comment

Yeah, but Faber didn't sculpt that in the mirror... he got that build through good genetics (well at least partially good, he is like 5'4 so I wouldn't say he won the genetic lottery or anything) and wrestling and just trying to form usable, functional muscle. The reason I know this is because I have seen a picture of him when he was a freshman in college wrestling and he looked nearly the same. Also go watch any d1 college wrestling match, a lot of the guys have a similar build. Uriah is a little bulkier, but he doesn't look too much different than Mendez or Benevidez, he is just cutting more weight so his abs show more.
Besides, you think he doesn't bench? Or do curls? I bet he does.I heart cockComment

^ Vi do bench and curls too... but I bet he doesn't look at his shape and worry if he looks too thick in one area and not in another... I bet he just tries to get stronger and leaner.2012: +19.33

2. Women like Paul Walker, sure,he is also handsome and lean. But you know who they like more than Paul Walker? George Clooney. Ever see Clooney with his shirt off? Go down the list of lusted after male stars and you will see a lot more Johnny Depp and Jude Law than you will Paul Walker or Matthew McConaughey.
George Clooney? Maybe the old bitches think that, but not 25 year old hotties.
And I would beg to differ on Jude Law, too. I think that most women would go for McConaughey before they went for Jude.
It is a funny thing to me... because a lot of people use the excuse "for the ladies" which is fine. But I really think the ladies just like guys that are comfortable in their own skin. If you can't accept yourself, then really you are right, because IME women don't like that at all. Better to be fat and proud than shredded and concerned about it.
Thanks. I will do as I please.I heart cockComment

And I also think you apparently underestimate these guys. I've seen Paul Harris, Sherk, and Marcus Davis bust out straight bodybuilder poses at the weigh-ins. You don't think that Kongo ever flexes his shit in front of the mirror when he gets out of the shower, or that Faber throws up the bicep for the ladies when they start squeezing his arms? How about Akiyama and his shirtless photo shoots, or GSP and that gay calendar that he did that Serra was making fun of on TUF?
Granted, these guys have a primary goal is becoming better fighters, but you don't think they also get off on how awesome they look?Last edited by SPX; 01-19-2011, 06:53 PM.I heart cockComment

^ I don't think you can use the bodybuilder poses as evidence of anything. Otherwise that means Nate Diaz is a body builder too. And Gonzaga... and everyone. Just something they do.
I am sure they are happy they look good, but that is a by-product of functionality. I want to look good too, but it is not the goal. Of course ego and vanity are everywhere, but for me bodybuilding is like glorified modeling... the whole goal is vanity.
whatever, to each his own. take a pic when you get tan and buff.2012: +19.33
