    Robert Bussey UFC trivia:

Scott Morris was also one of Bussey's students and Bussey was cornering him at UFC 2. When Morris was getting brutalized by Patrick Smith, McCarthy looked to Bussey for the towel and his response was to turn and throw the towel the other direction into the crowd. McCarthy wasn't allowed to stop the fight and Morris wouldn't quit, so the only reason that fight actually ended was that Smith just eventually stopped hitting Morris on his own and walked away.

This was one of the reasons that McCarthy insisted on being able to stop fights, which he was granted for UFC 3.

                    LOL.

Also, In case anyone is interested, Iron Forges Iron had a recent interview with one of my favorite fighters from the early era, Remco Pardoel. Some claims include:

                    1) that someone placed him as a 40-1 underdog vs. Weit
                    2) that Fred Ettish was telling everyone in the locker room about how he could stop anyone with "pressure point techniques".
                    3) that Ruas had greased for their fight

LOL@Ettish. He probably really believed that shit, too.

And I see greasing accusations go all the way back to the beginning of the sport.

Remco was one of the more legit guys back in the day, IMO... he went on to study bjj and get a bb in bjj too IIRC. Remco can probably whup some ass.

I say Y'all. I grew in southern california, and it is not a term that is used very much here in Indiana. But I recognize the need for a plural "you" in the English language. We say him/her/them, he'she/they... you/you/y'all makes perfect sense. I just started saying recently and it has made my life easier and it makes me sound down-homey. Embrace it.

I fully support the use of y'all.

When I moved to Minnesota it was like going to a foreign land. They all say "You guys" instead of "Y'all."

That shit really becomes a clusterfuck when trying to pluralize it, and you end up with "Your guys's," which just makes me go, What the fuck?

It really is a mess. "you guys" is also slang and informal. I don't like saying that. "You people" sounds like you are calling everyone black. So "you" is my default or I just re-word my entire sentence so I don't have to address the collective you issue. My granny used to say "you-uns" (or maybe it is you-ins). I like that... I am going to start saying you-uns. You-uns need to wash up now for supper ya hear?

Was she from Pennsylvania or West Virginia? My grandmother grew up in Pennsylvania and she has been saying You-ins or "Yins" all My life. I've still got family down in McKeeseport and they all talk like that. "Yins go warsh up for dinner".
