I didn't know until poopoo posted the pic. I knew I removed all the links, so I figured he just saved it. Then he said he got it from the costa rica thread, so I checked and there it was. I don't really care that much to be honest, I am relaxing about it as time goes by. A few years ago I would have never revealed my photo, much less my real name. It is more I don't want my wife to one day accidentally discover how fucking crazy I really am. If she read half of the things I wrote, she would be like "I don't know you!"

My wife knows I am a goof, but I will occassionally say some demented things that I would not say out loud and really would not want anyone them to connect to me. At first it was more about work stuff, but I don't care as much about that now, though it is still a little concern.

It is more the off-topic stuff I say that concerns me. You probably don't recall much of it, but I have said some things. In the same way I don't want my wife listening in when I talk to my friends at home, and certainly would not play a recording for her, it is the same here. I just say the actual truth most of the time on line. When you are in a long term relationship, you don't say the actual truth much of the time. I have to pretend to be much more mild mannered than I actually am.

Wife says: "are you happy and satisfied?" I say "Yes of course, I love you and the kids more than anything." All true. With my guy friends though, and in the comforting anonymity of the internet, I can say "It is a trade off. I am ok with the choices that I have made, and would make them again. But there is a pretty large part of me that wants to run off to costa rica and gamble and buy hookers on craigslist." Also true, but my wife doesn't need to know that and I would never do it so why put the fear in her.
