I think Overeem had a pretty shitty strategy. I'm sure Werdum confused him with that bullshit he was doing in the first round, but going for nothing but homerun punches left him open to getting hit so much. I guess being light on his feet and jabbing isn't Overeem's style though.

I bet Overeem looks better in his next fight. This is his first tough mma fight in years. He was huffing and puffing at the end though.

I think Overeem actually landed some serious bombs on Werdum. It got kind of hidden in the fact that he wouldn't follow Werdum to the ground though. I don't think he'll have the same hesitation with Silva.

Silva actually has a better wrestling shot than Werdum though. He might be able to take Overeem down.

Bigfoot did get beat by Werdum.

True. Werdum beat all 3 guys on his side of the bracket, but was still the boggest dog to win the tourney.

But Bigfoot has better takedowns and more power. I think he will survive the initial 5 mintes and do what Werdum couldn't. That said, he is also a lot more willing to trade, so Overeem will probably clock him.
