I kind of wish we didn't have that rule just to see what would happen.
In all seriousness, if that were to happen, it would probably be 3 rounds of Overeem kicking Werdum's legs and maybe throwing the occasional axe kick. Werdum woud occasionally try to explode up and grab a leg, and Overeem would move away.

Overeem would still win due to effective offense.

^^ dude got subbed like 4 times... good for him hanging in there. But I still gave the fight to Almeida, and this news only confirms and emboldens me.

I knew that armbar looked sunk.

Rankings are a mix of speculation and accomplishment. That is the case in every sport, it has to be.

Anyway, Cain is definitely #1 IMO and JDS is definitely #2 IMO. They both have quality wins over top 10 guys and no losses in recent history. After that, it is a free for all.

The UFC needs these HWs though.

That Werdum gif is classic. I don't fault him for trying to goad Overeem to come to the ground... but he really does look like a douche. His shot was weak, I expected his wrestling to be better. He is a guard player though, he likes to be on bottom, but you still have to work on the takedowns in modern MMA.

Heres what they should look like regardless of experience.

    Cain
    Silva
    Barnett
    Cormier
    Fedor
    Overeem
    JDS
    Werdum
    Carwin
    Lesnar

    FWIW, my list:

    Cain
    JDS
    Overeem
    Lesnar
    Werdum
    Carwin
    Silva
    Fedor
    Barnett
    Mir

Biggest question is probably Mir's placement. I'm sure Sherdog would keep him ahead of Silva, Fedor, and Barnett.
