One of my theories about Silva / Okami is that the pressure on Silva to put on a good show for the home crowd might force him to be less timid, which is probably a bad thing for him. Silva is at his most effective (in terms of win probability) against grapplers when he feels free to use distance and withdrawing to enhance his takedown defense.
