Anyone else here notice that the UFC obviously stacked the deck heavily in favor of the Brazilians on this card?

Well this is the first trip into Brazil in almost thirteen years, and only the second time they have ever gone into Brazil for an event.

Well to say that it just doesn't matter whether he tapped or not because the result was incorrectly recorded is probably not the best way to go about making a bet.

I'll just say that I doubt Shogun taps Forrest in any form or fashion, but I'm for damn sure not risking 21u to win 1u on it. However, if you think it's worth it, you can certainly sign up for a 5dimes account and make it happen.

Regardless of whether he tapped or not those fights were still recorded as knockouts. Not Shogun by sub STILL worth it IMO.

Yeah, as I see it:

1) Shogun has good, possibly underrated, jiu-jitsu.
2) I definitely see the fight spending some time on the ground.
3) Maybe most importantly: Shogun actually goes for subs. He tried to kneebar Jones twice I think.

Of course, Griffin has good submission defense, so I don't see Rua getting a sub, I just don't think it's one of those "no way this could happen" cases.

I don't think Shogun can tap Forrest unless he catches him in a really bad position(which doesn't seem to happen alot with Forrest) and locks something up while being able to control Griffin at the same time. I don't think a jump guard Guillotine is going to get it done here. He's going to have to be able to be on top or catch a really tight leglock to earn the submission out of Forrest.

Tapping to strikes aside, I don't see Shogun as being incapable of submitting Griffin. Of course, I don't think it will happen.
