Meathead has a solid chin. He's taken some real good shots and hasn't even looked phased. I don't remember Kimbo legitimately taking Matt down so much as I remember Matt going for a high kick that got stuck on Kimbo's shoulder and then when Kimbo came forward Matt tried for some kind of armbar/triangle type deal, which lead to the powerbombs.

Mitrione packs just as much if not more power in his hands than Barry does, and for a guy his size he is deceptively fast with his footwork. I really can't see Kongo being able to hold Mitrione against the fence for too long, Mitrione is a really strong dude. Honestly Kongo doesn't have a whole lot of outs here. He has to avoid getting knocked around like a pinball while he either sticks and moves like hell, or outwrestles Matt. Hopefully his miracle comeback will give us a decent line on Mitrione.

Browne hit him a couple of times but Kong was never "rocked bad" in that fight. And Buentello didn't do shit. So I don't know what you're referring to.

With about 2:30 left Browne hit Kongo good and backed him up.. then hit him with another big shot and Kongo was on "wobbly legs" for the rest of that round and was visibily tentative afterwards. I guess I should have said "rocked" instead of "rocked bad" so you didn't freak out. And I said 3 out of his last 4 fights, which means:

Pat Barry (he was knocked out like 8 times)
Travis Browne (see above)
Paul Buentello
Frank Mir (We all know what happened here)

So that is 3 out of his last 4.

First off, didn't Kimbo take Matt down? And didn't Kongo take Cain down?

Second, the only guy who went for any takedowns in that fight was Barry, who was stuffed.

Cheick doesn't have a lot of great wins--Cro Cop, Buentello and Barry are his most notable--but he's a fuckload more experienced and for the most part has only lost to very good fighters.

Kongo SHOULD have better striking and I could see Kongo taking him down, too.

Mitrione's best win is Beltran. That's not a really a slight, because Beltran has proven to be tough as fuck and someone who will fight as hard as he can until he dies, but it shows how inexperienced Mitrione is. I will concede that he has looked pretty good so far, though.

Kongo has been rocked bad in the last 3 of his 4 fights. I can see Mitrione getting through and stopping Kongo. But I can also see Kongo doing the whole beating Mitrione up against the fence/taking him down thing as well (basically what we all said about the Barry fight but we know what happened there). Mitrione is a big athletic guy though, so I can see him negating Kongo in that area. But if Joey Beltran was able to take Mitrione down/control him for an entire round, Kongo can. I don't really like this fight for betting unless one guy is a really big dog
